Weatherby Vangaurd in 270. Recently mounted a Zeiss Terra 3x 3-9x42, replacing a Tasco that came with it(bought it off an Uncle who bought it iff another Uncle). Was thinking of selling it tomorrow, but after reading this thread, Im having second thoughts...

Yeah, never sell a Vanguard. You won't get good money for it because they are so inexpensive new. Plus, you'll be darn glad you have it at some point.

I used one in 30-06 for years, shot some nice bucks and one big bear, but finally I just couldn't take that "unbreakable" plastic magazine. Yes, it is unbreakable, ...sort of. When unloaded and light you can probably drive a truck over it, but when full of ammo and heavy and dropped onto any hard surface (like a rock) it will break very easily, and in all the wrong places, rendering it absolutely useless. Just not reliable enough for me. And very expensive to replace.
