The .270 Win club, are you in?

All growing up I had a membership in the club under my father's name [I borrowed his .270 M70 featherweight pushfeed]. I nailed a lot of deer with that rifle. When I was able to buy a gun for myself, I tried to buy that one from Dad. He wouldn't [and still won't] part with it. So I went to a gunshow and was looking hard for a .270 in a 700 Mtn Rifle. I found a .280 in a 700 Mtn Rifle. So now I'm no longer in the club, but I'm right across the hall, and I think our meetings are VERY similar.

I still have my Ruger 77 in 270 that I bought 30 years ago, I will probably never sell it as it was my first big game hunting rifle.

I have a Win M70 Stainless Classic 270 with a Bushnell 4200 that is my bad weather gun, I will have it untill I die. It rains or snows alot in NB in the fall.

.270 Win

Yup, got two of 'em, Remington SPS DM thats bedded w/ Timney trigger & a TC Pro-Hunter with TCBellm spring kit upgrade.
These two rifles are "freak'n" accurate :sniper:
Both wear Bushnell Elite 3200's
What more do I need..................

Count me in too.
Savage 111 fcxp3 in .270
bought it earlier in the year, and expect to be taking my first deer with it come november...

... once I get the kinks worked out.

I really hummed and ha'd about my next rifle but ended buying a new SAKO A7 in .270. I've only put 12 through it but my god I'm happy with my decision.

Lovely rifles out there.

yup 270 husky, was gramps then dads now its mine, all i added was a conquest 3x9x50 and its a dream. I know that it made its debut in northern sask and downed a many deer, elk and moose. Since i got the little treasure its taken deer no problem, this year going for elk and i am very confident in its take down ability...love my husky

I had a chance finnaly today to try my new Mossberg 4x4 .270 Win, i went out to the range and was using Super X 130 Gr PP and was very impressed with accurancy of the rifle all the way out to 200Yds +...its a keeper...now i will have to try the 150 Gr ammo to see the difference

There will always be a .270 in my safe. More than likely, two or three...

It might be boring but the .270 does what needs to be done. Period.

I once finished a wounded moose at 300 yards at half gallop with a Winchester model 70 Ranger in .270. I will never forget it as long as I draw breath. My buddy stood there with his mouth agape (he had wounded it with a 6.5x55 it disappeared over a hill and came out 300 yards away (party licence) ) I said I have to try it's wounded. Put the crosshairs on his nose and touched the trigger, right in the boiler room...good nite. Ever since them I am a firm believer. There is nothing boring about a .270 ;) FWIW he now owns that rifle.
