The .270 Win club, are you in?

Now that it's 2011, I don't know why everyone doesn't shoot a .300 WBY Mag. I used to fly in the arctic and the loc's up there shot P-bears w/ a .303. Whatever anyone says, a .300 Roy will kill any living thing on earth with one shot.

PS shot placement still applies.

No offence meant and I don't disagree, but I don't see what this has to do with a 270 thread....

Got it home..

Well, I got the money a little earlier than expected, and brought the new .270 win home today:D what a beauty!!!..Never got a scope yet..still pondering..What colour would look best? silver or black I wonder..

I used to shoot my uncles husky in .270 when I was a kid, got my first bull moose with it. Got my own model 70 then sold it for a Weatherby 7mmrm. Regretted that move so then sold it and went back to the 270 but this time in wsm and love it even more. Going to be shooting this for a long time.

Oh I should have gone to bed and not read this thread. Now I'll be out Saturday looking at a new rifle in 270. Had one 20 years ago sold it . Using 308 3006. But a 270 is now in the books.

EPPS can hear my credit card swipe as I type.

Where in the Arctic was this? Looks very tundra-y!

Just joined the 270 club. After agonizing for months about what cal to get to be my go to gun the 270 was what I ended up with. Picked up a Rem 700 SPS SS and have already ordered a Leupold VX3L 4.5x14x50 CDS, a Boyds laminate thumbhole stock and a Timney trigger for it. Can't wait to get out and shoot off a few rounds and start working up some loads for it.

Thats exactly what I use haha, I just was given my uncles old Husqvarna Nitro .270, came with an old Weaver Marksman scope but it fogs alot so Im planning on getting a Zeiss Conquest for it, great shooter though, the last person who shot it was my dad over 20 years ago and when I got it I took it to the range and at 200 metres it still held it's zero

I think common is the most fun! To me, there is nothing fun about searching for over priced ammo made out of "unobtainium alloy"

Amen brother. I also really enjoy finding factory ammunition on sale every so often, for these boring cartridges. ;)
