The 30-30 club, are you in?

win 94 lever action 30-30, i reload for her as well and she's my favorite for fun shooting at the range and hunting!!

I've owned three, all 94's and a better woods rifle has never been invented.
Actually, one was a 64 deluxe and I really regret trading it.
I prefer peep sights and for all you .30/30 haters out there, if it is so ineffectual why has it stuck around for 115 years.

Just finished setting up Savage 340C which I bought from fellow CGNer with 2-7 Nikon prostaff for my wife, she passed her hunter ed exam. I was pleasantly surprised how easily I could find an extra mag and mount for the rifle made in mid-60s (if I'm not mistaken). Kudos to WGP guys from Edmonton, awesome service.

I've got a 30-30.
This one was made in 1897.
I cleaned it up a tad, but nothing major.

Hell yeah!!

Sold my Marlin AS30 30.30 to a hunter on the rock. Instantly regretted, for the same money I sold it for, bought a Marlin 336
Never sell again

My first rifle into my collection was a Glenfield (Marlin) .30-30. Then a Win 94 in .30-30 fell from the heavens to land in my safe.

I found that it's a really nice round to shoot even for plinking with a presence that can certainly be felt but isn't punishing in any way. It's the sort of cartridge I could shoot all afternoon at the 200m gong at my outdoor range and still smile with an unbruised shoulder at the end of it.

And since I found the reference to loading only one or two at a time with boatail spitzer bullets I'm thinking this is a cartridge that has some extended possibilities even shot from the lowly lever gun. Loading two and then chambering one means there's never a tip touching a primer in a dangerous way.

I've seen some bolt action rifles in this size as well. I may just add one of them to my safe at some point when the time is right.

Not a hunter, just someone that enjoys plinking with something that's got some presence to it. Reloading is keeping the cost down and going with lead bullets stands to lower the cost even more.

Have 3..Marlin and the others NIB WINCHESTERS. Still want another. Theya re a nice rifle to fire.

Have a marlin 336 RC. Was my grandpas and later will be my sons. Still take it out accasionally. Have gotten two caribou with her in the last while.

I used to own a Marlin 336 in 30-30 years ago and sold it. It was a fairly new rifle at the time, with few rounds through here. Thought I would never use her much at the time and sold here. I was more into Long range target shooting at the time. I still kick myself for doing that from time to time. One day soon I will have another.

I have a new hunting spot this year and will using my pre64 30-30 for the first time!
Have loaded some Hornady ballistic tip "FTX" bullets which shoot dead on!
Have a Williams peep sight on the back... hope to fill the freezer this fall.

I got my Marlin 336 for Xmas in 1960 when I was 14 years old. Used it exclusively as my hunting riflle until 1980. I still use it occassionally as a carry gun in the bush. It has been successully used to kill many deer and a couple of moose.
