The 6.5x55 Swede Club, Are you there?

Got one, a bubba'ed model that I want to get a Boyd's stock for and put a scope on it. I've also just finalized a trade for a nice stock 1906 model.

Every time I read one of these Swede threads, I find myself going to the Trade-Ex site and look around. I do wish he'd get some new ones in.

New addition to the 6.5x55mm club....

Yes, I'm in the club....

I have an old Carl Gustaf military with the long barrel & straight bolt. And a 'Mauser Oberndorf' military with the shorter barrel & straight bolt. And a Husqvarna military M38 with the turned bolt.

My current sporter is a factory Tikka 695 stainless/synthetic bought NIB a few years back. {keeper}

In the past, I've also had a couple different 'sporters' done off military Swede actions, a NIB Ruger Model 77 MkII blued with wood stock, and an as NIB Rem 700 Classic, all in 6.5x55mm before.

Still waiting for a Win 70 f/w in 6.5x55mm to come my way....

I posted the above a few days ago.... And as luck would have it, after many years of waiting, one of my long gun "holy grails" has finally come my way.....

Very nice acquisition!
I felt the same way when I got my Rem 700 Classic 6.5x55. It finally come home after 15yrs searching.

I've got a 100% original 1900 Oberndorf M96 (29" barrel), and it's the most accurate open sight rifle I own. A lot of fun to shoot! I don't take it out much because it's such a nice piece. Worn in, but not worn out! I'm trying to find another one with some form authentic aperture sight for gopher shooting. I've got cruddy eyesight, and need all the help I can get..:)

Thanks for selling it to me, Longbranch!

Im taking my Tikka Model 65 (lsa 65) out this weekend....... some Norma brass fell into my lap so Ill play with that, who knows that rifle may actually prefer brass that has proper dimensions !

Will take some pics when out there.

Tikka T3 blued

This one is my 2nd 6.5 Swede. My 1st was a sporter M38 with Ramline stock.

So, where is this Rem 760 in 6.5x55. If they don't make it, they should. Along with a 9.3

In my gun safe right next to the 760 in 257 roberts.
Both of theses guns started out as 30-06 carbines.

My dad had both of these guns rebarreled by a gunsmith in Peterbourgh.
