The 6.5x55 Swede Club, Are you there?

I have a ruger m11 I picked up here on g/n, got a trigger job and found it to be very accurate and light recoil, Havent shoot anything except paper and steel not, much of that even. A friend from Austrailia was hitting the gong at 500 meters. I havent reloaded since to try that myself. Very fun to shoot from the bench.

I've got a Carl Gustaff 1903 Long rifle, it's totally original except it's missing the ramrod. I've shot it twice, no really two rounds thats it.
I really hate to be that guy; you know the one who lives in Milsurp and rants about Bubba. But I've got the feeling that with iron's I'll never be able to shoot to what that rifle is capable of. I've heard mixed results about the S & K scout mounting style systems.
And leaving such a fine rifle to get dusty in a safe... not cool. It'll get some game this fall for sure, one way or the other.

In my gun safe right next to the 760 in 257 roberts.
Both of theses guns started out as 30-06 carbines.

My dad had both of these guns rebarreled by a gunsmith in Peterbourgh.

How long ago was this done and how much?

I'm in now. Just got my 6.5x55 from Guntech the other day. Waiting for some weather so I can paint the Bansner stock; maybe today. Still deciding on what to top it with, a 3-9x40 Conquest I have or take advantage of the Swaro Z3 deals going on and buck up for a 3-9x36 Z3. Decisions and I've got to shoot this soon it's hard looking at it all day. I'll post pics. when I'm done if I can figure out how to do that. Feels good to be in the club.

I have two at present, an M94 that has been sporterized, and a Remington 700 "Classic" that is presently on it's 3rd barrel. [Tells you how much I like this chambering] I have shot everything from varmints to Moose & Elk with it, and never felt undergunned. A very fine chambering, indeed!! Regards, Eagleye.

I'm on my 4th now. I really miss my tikka m65 but it had to go so kids could have christmas :( but now I have a a 6.5 barrel for my encore. It's amazingly accurate. I will always have a 6.5 in my aresnal. I'm looking at building a 6.5 Rem magnum on a 700 action but money is always tight so it'll be a slow go if it happens.

M38 & AG42, both mint. The workmanship is a pleasure just to look at. Had a 98 Oberndorf too.

Should have got something from Tradex before the cherries were all picked.:(

Wish someone would bring in a container of the ammo from somewhere, but I guess it doesn't exist in surplus quantities anymore.

A Lee Enfield in 6.5mm - there's an idea, 10 round mag 'n all :D

Nothing wrong with that. Barrels were meant to be worn out. :)
My "Classic" is my Moose gun as well.
