I got my whelen off Supercub...... I put a leupold 2-7x32 VX1 on it and w/ factory ammo a great shooter at 100yds.....never tried any further.
Thanks, Supercub!
I'll join in. Cut my teeth on the predecessor Model 141 in 35 REM then graduated to the 760 in 300 SAV.
Think that 300 SAV must have been pregnant and part Rabbit because the last time I checked the Safe there seemed to be some additional inventory!
308 WIN in 760
270 WIN in 760
30-06 in 760
7mm-08 in 760 (Had a 308 win carbine re-barreled)
308 WIN in SIX
308 WIN in 7600
243 WIN in 7600 (synthetic)
280 REM in 7600
They all shoot well (M.O.A. is the norm) and never had one fail me.
Alright, you're now president of the club.Where did you get the new barrel? I wouldn't mind a .338 Federal carbine.
Ellwood Epps put the new barrel on. It is stainless and looks a little different but that was what I wanted. The barrel is clean (no sights) and I also got a Ram-Line Camo stock for it. Not sure whether I prefer the Camo or wood, keep flipping them back and forth.
Got any pics of this beast??Do you know who the barrel manufacturer was?
I am not very computer literate. How do I post pictures, my wife does have a digital camera so that part I can do.
See this thread for how-to's on posting pics.
