The 760/7600 Club

Good question. I just know some will fit both 760 & 7600 and others will just fit 760 so you have to watch. I am having a laminate set made for my 280. Should be finished this week.

And when they are finished you should sell me the gun!!!!!!!!:D

What scope/optic is on that?

Everything has it's price.:) I have a 257, 223. 35W and a few other odd balls also. Just a small collection. A fellow gun nutz member is doing the 280 stock just roughed out that this stage. It will match the 7mm08 when completed

That looks like Rich's shop in Plenty, SK.

Sure is Doug, not sure how you picked that out from a bench pic but you are right on.:)
This is my first stock set from him but I don't think it willl be my last

I have been in that shop, in October last year. And I recognized his work too. Somewhere in there is a 788 stock of mine.

So I bought a 760 in 30.06, but it needs a mag, I can get mags for the 7600. How much work is it to get it to fit should I get the mag???

In my own experience, any 7600 mag will fit a 760 of the same chambering. But a 760 mag will NOT always fit a new 7600 that takes a mag with a rubber bumper on the bottom. HTH.

Chuck, you might be better off listing this for sale in the Equipment Exchange forum (where you will also need to post a price.)

Sorry to hear about your limp, and your decision to give up hunting. :(

Best regards,

Doug

BRAG ALERT! ....

I scored a nice old Remington 141 today in 35Rem. Came with a period Lyman tang sight, no cracks, no swivels, no extra holes, alterations or messed up screws.

That one is as FUDD as it gets! ;)

.

That 141 sounds like a great find. Can't wait for the photo.
What is the going price on a 760 rifle, later version without the barrel hanger? The picture I have seen looks good, cheapo Tasco with see through (they will get trashed) 3 boxes of ammo (308) and extra mag for $380. Sounds good to me but I'll have to find time to see it.

That's a great deal with the ammo and ex mag!

I just joined the club. Found a bunch of old guns in the trunk of my late grandfathers car. It seems as though he bought or was given some collection from someone just before he died. Among the guns was a 760 in 270 with a bushnell 4x scope. The guns sat in the trunk for a whole winter before we found them, luckily the rusting on it is just surface, still operates great. I was looking for a 270, and I don't have a pump rifle yet so this just enhances my collection even more.
