The AK- SKS kit ( little update post 440 2015-03-19)( less ABS more wood and metal)

A 10/22 AK build would be wicked!!!!
Question,
I have a krinker plinker set on a 10/22 now but can't find an AK mag she'll big enough to fit a Butler Creek 10/22 mag inside off Now would you be able to make an AK47 mag she'll the can fit a Butler Creek mag into for me???
PLEASE?!?!?!

Will the finished product be milled aluminum or stamped sheet metal? Either way, weight and price are the 2 big factors I think for most people. If what you can put together weighs 8-9 lbs and costs $200 or less and uses all original ak furniture, itl be a real winner :)

first idea was machined aluminum but that a lot of machining and cnc milling dont run for cheap , stamped metal parts are cheap , cnc laser cutting is fast , the stamped version have only 3 machined parts , my 3dprinted prototype will be the determinant factor to see if all fit well, i already have a couple of guys that want one , the number influence a lot the final price , setuping a cnc for 1 piece or 100 it the same time , the stamped one should use .060 thickness steel plate , in a 4'x8' plate should be able to make maybe around 18-20 kit ,

Lots of Awesome ideas! For a shell to use over a BC 10/22, maybe try an airsoft mag. I made one for an Archangel 10/22 mag b4.

You know what would be awesome?
Being able to use a Polish underfolding stock:

That's Inventor. The axis lines in SolidWorks 'reference triad' [lower left corner - it's calles UCS in Inventor] is thicker.

yep autodesk inventor 2014 now , tried one time with solidworks but was not able to more than what i was able to do with inventor so i stayed on inventor , i've see a couple thing on inventor at one place were i worked but most of what i know about it, i learned it myself

It's a good 3D design program, especially if you know AutoCAD or if you're new to designing in 3D. Solidworks costs more because you can design parts/assemblies with tighter tolerance. That's why most of the automotive companies in Ontario use it in their engineering dept. If even more tighter tolerance is needed, as in aerospace/aircraft/engine design, they would use CATIA and the like.

Sorry for going off topic and hijacking your thread, but this is my livelihood; it's how I get $$ to buy toys :D

solidworks is more popular too than inventor i think , inventor still have some bug year after year , software i use i find them full for free

no prob for the hijacking ^^

Other option is Zahal. Although it doesn't look like they have regular wood stocks, only aftermarket polymer stocks.

Maybe ask Irunguns too?

i've send some email at some website and will see what they said , sksman have some stock just waiting a soon a i get an answer , should get my missing parts for the printer probably today or tomorrow ,

the printer is now working still got a problem with the lcd screen but i dont really need it to run the printer . monday or tuesday i should have all my piece , will have to print the stock too because at this moment i dont have any one , if all go well the range report will be in a couple days
