The Battle Rifle Pictures Thread

Pemberton is smoked out and all I wanted to do was roll some ammo today. Unfortunately, my stupid scale (gem pro 250) decided not to work correctly today so I took it upon myself to undertake this project that I'd been meaning to for a while now. My attempt at Multicam done with Krylon rattle cans:

Just need to work up the nerve to do the optic now...

Thanks! I laid out blue painter's tape on the cover of a rubbermaid and then tried to approximate the shapes by looking at a pair of multicam pants that I have and sketch em on the tape with a sharpie. Cut them out with an exacto and stuck them to the stock. I stuck some on for every pass of paint, that way I got different shades of the 3 krylon colours I had on hand.

Going to slap an angled for grip on it and change out the COD ghost to a punisher. Also spring guide rod already in rout and going to bed it so hopefully will be a shooter.

A work in progress. Just got gas cylinder shims from Tactical Teacher in the mail a few mins ago. Still trying to figure out what to do about optics...

my budget build. stamped 7.62 not .308, using bulk nato 7.62 ammo.

need to change the scope rings for something much lower, these were just a spare set i had kicking around. scope is a redfield 4-12x42

only sighted in at 50y for now. its dead on accurate for the first 2 shots and then starts to walk a bit to the left? could it be heat related? gas system didn't need to be shimmed, timed properly. i did notice the front band however doesn't drop straight down, needs to be pushed down and does make contact with the barrel, the little tabs on the back of the front band that slide over the upper hand guard aren't symmetrical, wondering if modifying this would help remove the contact point with the barrel?
