Dos your H&K have the clip on the left side of the tropical fore stock for the special sling. A friend of mine arrived over with a Norinco AR and it had the same sling as my H&K 91.
I traded him another sling for it and am putting it on my 93.

My 93 has a retractable stock, came with a stealth type sling.

It's a casing deflector, clips on over the top of the receiver. There is a chunk of rubber in it.

I did noticed the deflector in your pictures where did you find one of those?
It reminds me of the Robinson Arms deflector.

Came with the rifle, scored a great deal bi-pod, sling incl too...I know you know how much the pod goes for, crazy expensive.

This is pretty much the exact setup im planning to buy this coming spring. Except i think i'll stick with the carbon barrel. Really nice M1A cheaplaughs, IMO one of the nicest and practical looking M1A's in this thread.

Update on the build: Got an OD CASM-EX and a rubber armored compact 3-9x40. Added a .75 Magpul cheek riser in FDE to the OD Magpul MOE for proper cheek weld. Went to zero it in this last weekend and came out very happy with the results. Here are the pictures:

It is quite convenient. It can be taken apart into 5 flat pieces. These fit rather nicely in the back of my FJ Cruiser. It does not require glue, screws, nails nor any other fastener to be setup. It assembles in a matter of seconds and you can assemble it for left or right handed shooters. You make the entire table out of a single 3/4 inch 4' x 8' board of plywood.
