The Beretta CX4 Thread

I love mine. Topped with a Haloson 510c reflex mounted far forward so I can shoot with both eyes open. Just have to get a 92fs to pair with it. Has anyone tried mecgar or pro mags in them with good results?

yep, great with a 92 series pistol or one of the Girsans for that matter.

All the MecGar mags I have work great. Like really great, better than the factory Beretta mags it came with.

I haven't had any luck with 96 mags tho.

My response may come late but I have used both Mec-Gar and ProMag in my CX4 and they feed just as reliably as the OEM Beretta magazines.

to be honest, I find the Mec Gar mags are nicer than the Beretta ones that came with the CX4. Smoother finish, nicer fit.

and yes, get yourself a Beretta 92/96 or good clone. its awesome being able to share mags with long gun and sidearm

I currently have a Vortex Strike fire red dot on my CX-4. Works good, but having recently purchased a M&P 15, I think I will be migrating the Vortex to it.

I want another red dot, but maybe a little more budget minded.

Any suggestions, was thinking Bushnell TRS 25. I have heard the Bushnell high rise mount is not great. Any suggestions for a riser to give lower 1/3 co-witness. Don't want the red dot too high or mostly blocked by the stock sights.

Look no further than the Vortex Sparc II. It comes with the mounts to co-witness and you’re already familiar with the brand. It’s super accurate out to 100y with mine!

I had a trs 25 on mine cowitnessed with the sights perfectly. Was a low mount. You can flip the front and rear irons down if you feel they get in the way.

Where do I get the low mount from? My TRS-25 mount is the high one, and opaque to boot. I tried a skeletal mount underneath the TRS-25 and I can almost make out the IS, but not quite well enough.

I've got a Holosun 403C in a low mount on mine and it looks to be pretty much an absolute co-witness...maybe a little higher. I've got the rear sights flipped down.
