It would have to be the Enfield with the best story, the war story that carries great examples of courage, sacrifice, love and devotion.
The Enfield that has battle scars, that may or may not have come back from the battlefield. The one with the authentic story, not made-up stories or spiced-up ones.
The rifle that saved many friends, killed fellow humans for a greater cause, kept on shooting in the worst conditions that the Conflicts could throw at it.
The Lee Enfield that best pays tribute to all who used them so I can live as I do right now, today, living a life with few worries, little sadness, great comfort and... a whole lot of appreciation for our veterans.
Not sure where that rifle is - but there are many contenders for the title, no doubt.
