The Ruger polymers are really nice for overall length of bullet it seems - my .308 one will accommodate up to 2.90ish.
Testing my reloads this weekend of varget + 150gr TTSX + 210M primers in win brass, the best I could achieve was about 1.5" with both 44.5gr and 45gr (which isn't that great considering I've shot sub MOA with American White Tail 150gr Hornady Interlocks). The 44.5gr had 2 holes almost touching but then my third was a flyer to break the group, and then 45 was a more evenly spaced group. I guess the task this week will be to load more loads at 44.6/44.7/44.8/44.9 to see which shoots the best now that I have narrowed it down to this bracket of powder. Since these loads are compressing my COAL is varying between 2.82" and 2.86"... does anyone know how to better control this?
Also, does anyone have any experience with shooting Hornady 155gr steel match? I was trying to use these to sight in my new scope but they just spray everywhere.
