So, I was just digging around FRT#s as we all do everyday and I noticed something, The CETME L (and LC) have no FRT information, The Model A, B , C and sporter all have FRT info but not the L.
Jumped over to the 95~96 ban and the Cetme L isnt mentioned either, okay I though it could be seen as a variant, but what if it isnt ?
I mean at the time of the 95 ban there were no CETME Ls on the commercial market and it was a relatively unknown rifle from spain, maybe it slipped past the net a kin to the VZ58 and some other fun ones (Like the ar102 for awhile)
Well starting in 2018 I believe a couple of US companies started producing CETME Ls on parts kits with all new receivers and semiauto trigger packs / lowers as well.
Would there be potential for one to be brought in to be sampled by the RCMP lab ? Cetme isnt a firearm model, but more akin to a brand name, (Centro de Estudios Técnicos de Materiales Especiales)
I don't know maybe Im over thinking it and just want a fun roller gun to plink in the bush with
