The chewed up roller is usually from a bad bolt stop/ catch

Had some time today so I looked into this. and holy #### it was a ##### to take out, Had to resort to drilling out the pin. But you were right. Its chewed up bad. Just ordered a new one on GunBroker for 30$

Im converting my second one to 7.62x51 Nato with the BRP guns kit and real Norwegian army 7.62x51 barrel.. Hopefully this works good. Ill post here when i get it back. I feel a lot better burning through 7.62 NATO over my surplus 8mm..

BTW as far as i know TNW ran out of bolt rollers over a year ago and started making their own out of soft steel that does not last. If your wheels fail again, look for original german made wheels.

The Bolt Wolverine is sending me is 100% original. And ill keep an eye on on GunBroker for NOS rollers.

Still haven been able to remove that banged up roller...lol... And I dont feel like grabbing my BFH either...lol..

you should be able to use a exacto blade and a small hammer to split the wheels.

Yup tried that, even broken the black 1" blade...lol.. Shes on good... Might heat her up a bit and see.

heres the tool for it. not much more then a thin piece of metal. Maybe try a thinner blade?

I've had luck using a couple of jack knives to pry the roller off just make sure you don't lose the tiny clip
Replacing the roller is a royal pain too you have to push the clip in the groove while pushing on the roller
I've heard of the special tool for the bolt rollers but have never seen one for sale
If you can find the bolt extractor tool I recommend getting it
The pins on the bolt for the ejector and cartridge stripper are usually a bugger to remove too

I converted my other 34 with this kit and it works reallly good, you have to change out one feed pawl on the top feed block and instal a spacer on your lower feed tray. The kit comes with a smaller booster cone but I didn't have to use it
