The Mountain Hunting Thread

Well I fly a plane kind of like a 9/11 high jacker. I can make it go where I want but the takeoff and landing part not so much.

Hunting partner flies a 172 on floats. Got the 220 hp and STOAL Kit. Not a moose hunting rig but pretty good for two guys on a sheep hunt.

Any one have any more pics?

My north west BC hiking/fishing trip probably isnt going to happen when it should have (early june) so now i have to rebook it for aug/sept so id love some pics that i can live vicariously though.

Some great photos and memories in this thread! I'll add in a few from some memorable hunts - sorry if this becomes a bit of a hijack. They aren't all great quality and I've lost a ton from years past with a crashed harddrive but...

A couple of them are the Yukon but mostly BC. I'll see if I can keep it somewhat species organized...

And some Horse related/Scenic shots. I know you aren't a fan of the ultimate 4x4's Angus - and they can certainly be more work than they are worth at times - but for hunting moose, or in areas a long way off a lake or an airstrip there's nothing better... as long as you aren't the one heading out in the wee hours to catch them for the day.

Do any of the pictures from his area give you traumatizing flashbacks of sharing a floating log with 1000 mice? ;)

I blocked out the nightmare and only the good stuff remains in my front lobe... I can compartmentalize hardcore! ;)

This thread is awesome guys, those pics should hold me over until my trip that i had to rebook to Aug due to covid19

But the one lucky part of it, is Aug is said to be one of the best months to go.
