The Mountain Hunting Thread

At the risk of appearing to live in the past, this one is from Sept, 1975. Taken at close to 300 yards with a Husqvarna in 280 Rem, about 70 miles from the house.

Those were the days, my friend....

We thought they'd never end.

Ted

those days are not gone ... they are just a little far than we can think ...

no camo hype in those days ...

Thanks Ardent.

How can it possibly be 15 years ago?

Will be going back in there in this August to try for a sheep. That Kelty knows its way in there as well as I do. It's been climbing those hills since 1974!

Can't believe I only found this thread now. What a great idea for a thread Ardent. My computer is torn apart for my move but will try and get it up and post some of my pics in a few days. Beautiful pics guys!

Ardent you have me at a distinct disadvantage..........all my photos are tied up in Photobucket and I have no idea how to get them back............I can assure you there won't be too many new high country photos, so I'll have to work on retrieving the ones I have somehow.

Ted I hear you on how fast time goes- heck we’ve been on this forum just shy of fourteen years!

I just photographically resituated myself, was a major PITA when photobucket went stupid. I went to Imgur and it works but isn’t as user friendly, gimme a shout if you want to run down Douglas. I’d hate to miss yours in the thread as they go international. :)

Look forward to it.

I'm kind of in the same boat, 30 yrs of climing the rocks before digital cameras so nothing to "download". Long past the ability to climb now so keep them coming boys...I am still vicariously "living the experience" thru your offerings...thank you

That was a goat with potential for sure. Should have let him grow another couple years for sure.

Thank god there were four of us packing that caribou. Heavy enough with a full camp.

Wow! any true outdoorsman who does not feel a twinge of jealousy is dead already.
The vast experience on these pages is a testament to how much we love the game
and the wonderful creation we can observe and enjoy. Kudos to all who posted the
marvellous pictures of breathtaking beauty as well as the game pics. Eagleye.
