I posted these 300 yard groups I recently shot with the KING over at AR, but I dont' think I posted them here. I think this sort of accuracy will kill a moose at 300 paces...;)

300gr NAB

80.5 H4350
78.7 H4350
80gr RL17
80.5 RL17

Other than the 3 shot one hole 100yard group I shot with RL17, H4350 has been the more accurate powder. RL 17 really gets you the velocity, though. I've heard speculation that RL17 is the stuff Hornady uses for their "high energy" loads, but it's just speculation...;)

When I played with brother's 375, RL17 wasn't available, but if I recall RL15 showed good results as did H4350.
Unfortunately he has all my load notes for the gun, so I'm starting from scratch again.. :)

That it is! Dr. G's data worked like a charm in Nuggets gun and saved him a pile of dough in testing. On behalf of him a big thanks to THEE Gatehouse.
Best of all it saved me a bunch of time doing up all the loads for him.:)

OT but nice truck Tod.

Glad I could be of some service.;)

I've got loads that will kill anything for the KING now. 260gr AB, 300gr NAB, 270TSX and even some reduced loads with 200gr bullets.

Any other load development is just for fun. I only tried the 235gr TSX once, gonna try that.

And when the 250gr TTSX comes out, well...I'll HAVE to try that:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

300gr Hornady RN bullets shoot very good with H4350, too. better group than the NAB with RL17, but not as good as the NAB with H4350. But we are really splitting hairs:p

The .375 Ruger is ballistically inferior to the .378 Weatherby, which has me wondering why they would waste there time designing a new cartridge that is inferior to it`s immediate competitor. It`s never gonna be as easy to find the Ruger ammo as it is to find the H and H ammo either. What rifleman would subject themself to this?

The 30-30, .308, 30-06, 300 Winchester Magnum and 300WSM are all ballistically inferior to the 30-378, but the 30-378 barely makes a blip on the radar when it comes to sales compared to the rest...

WHo needs to find ammo? Make it yourself.:p

Went out and bought myself one of the "Kings" today. Looks like a mighty fine round to me :) Dies and brass were all sold out. So I pick up a few boxes of factory rounds to get me going. Cant wait to get out and shoot the lil girl.
