I'm plenty sure that Gate's like many others including myself prefer not having a detachable mag. Less likely to lose it, less weight, less likely to road hunt (just kidding on that one...
. I prefer a blind mag arrangement, I just find it so much more elegant.
Detachable mags and muzzle brakes are in the same category with hunting rifles...
A .375 Ruger deserves a detachable mag, a muzzle brake and a thumbhole stock - purple and silver laminate, with a Dayglo green forend tip.
It should have lots of decals on the stock, especially one of those 'Metal Mulisha' ones that prove the youth of today is too stupid to spell 'Militia' correctly. The sling should be that woven plastic string, red white & blue, like the strap on Willie Nelsons guitar...
...and there could be an optional roach clip where the rear sight normally goes.
I'm not a fan of detachable magazines on hunting rifles, and far prefer a hinged floorplate over any other system.
I prefer a floor-plate on my rifles. Either a hinged type or the totally removable type found on 98's. I usually change the latch mechanism so the plate is easier to remove in a hurry.
I don't mind the look of a blind mag but, in the event of a jam, they can be very hard to clear.

Floorplate or nada here too, and I find it even more elegant than blind. Ruger's hidden floorplate release is the best going. I don't much like aluminum floorplates mind you, all my hunting rifles wear steel bottom metal, including my Ruger (H&H of course).
Floorplates belong on true sporting rifles. I can't imagine that when I get a fine rifle made that there won't be a handsomely engraved floorplate. For a mass produced hunting rifle that gets used to jump in the truck, push bush a bit, jump back in, push another bush, back in the truck etc. a detachable mag is perfect.
That makes perfect sense to me. Their 376 Steyr is almost a ballistic twin to the Ruger and 375 H&H in a very compact package. According to my latest Hornady manual the 376 Steyr and the old H&H are on par. It doesn't have the 375 Ruger in that edition.
