The NEW KING is taking off!

To help you understand more, maybe you need to spend less time shooting Ultra Mags at 25 yard bear targets and more time with the target a bit further out.:p

What part of shooting a deer through the shoulders with the "king" at 20feet don't you understand.......:p;)

It's tragectory is only marginally better if at all than a 375H&H and I got rid of my H&H years ago because its rainbow tragectory was just that a rainbow tragectory...

a poor carpenter will blame his tools. 375's (HH or ruger) have downrange drop/drift very similar to 308 Winchester (great 400y moose gun btw). I wonder if the 308 Winchester is suitable for long range shooting :p

Not that far from what I see...

Yes, it's true- I have the skills to get close to animals while hunting. The bear was about 20 feet away, maybe less. That deer was 20 feet as I said.

It's great to be able to get close, but also be able to shoot longer ranges if required, on of the reasons THE KING shines so brightly!

and the 22 short was once the most modern high performance smokeless round available and was used to kill polar bears here in Canada.

Why are you promoting/using a 308 must mean your a poor hunter/shooter or do you actually believe everything you spew?

Maybe someday you'll actually contribute intelligently to a thread rather than just spouting off everytime... :D

how relevant is the 22 short to a topic on 375 cartridges? why are you talking about the smallest rimfire smokeless cartridge? are you trying to relate it to our evolution of cartridge selection? - because if think newer is better, you must agree that the most recent factory 375 is the best???? and if you think faster is better, then the 378 Wby would be the best???? make sense please

Why are you promoting/using a 308 must mean your a poor hunter/shooter or do you actually believe everything you spew?
are you suggesting a 308 cartridge is incapable of cleanly killing with a well placed shot? Are you on some sort of old man drugs that make your brain not work?? :p

Maybe someday you'll actually contribute intelligently to a thread rather than just spouting off everytime... :D

Now now, no need to be like that. you keep this up and you're gonna lose your 15% discount!!!!! :yingyang:

$10 per shot? Maybe if you are using gold plated bullets
:p:p

I'd like to see a gold bullet. Even my 404 is only about $6 a shot, if I loose the brass, so the Ruger would be way cheap. And for those who don't get the big gun thing, all I can say is try it and you will love it. My smallest gun is a 375H&H. Well except for a 30-30.

This is the most awesome thread ever and also the best cartridge ever.

No other can compare. My 2 are enroute now. Why 2....one for each hand of course. Do they make this in an AR15 platform?

Please do go on....

375 ruger ammo generally runs around $3 a shot for factory, similar to premium ammo in a 30-06 or 300 Win Mag

Ah-HAH!

So if everyone runs out and buys 375 rugers, and they become more popular than say, a 223WSSM, Gatehouse hopes to ensure an ammo/component supply!

I'll bet he got scared with the comments on the "Next cartridge to be obsolete" thread..........:p

It's all becoming quite clear now........

Didn't Gatehouse invent this cartridge?

That's what the internets is saying

I don't need ammo, I have brass...

They still make brass and ammo for lots of loooong discontinued cartridges.

And obsolete? You must be joking.

The NEW KING is not going to go away. Too much interest.:dancingbanana:
