The new NR NoDak Spud NDS 18SC

This! In reality no one really wants a 180 badly. Most just want something AR15ish.

Given that the AR-180B has the ability to have its stock fold and remain able to fire right out of the box (e.g. you don't need a LAW adapter like in an AR), I daresay this is better than an AR. If only it took standard AR barrels and handguards...

Ahh I mean style wise. Let me rephrase, everyone want it to be AR15 style, but with all the “plus” in the 180 like the stock options, just not the slants and rivet looks.

Can someone explain to me thing about new 180 receivers manufacturing. I thought the whole point of AR18 was to be built on stamped steel receiver, and specifically NOT be like AR15.

Ar 180b has polymer lower so idk man I think the idea is ease of manufacturing and not the stamped steel itself

IRG is building up the hype

Actually, they aren't - or at least weren't. I came across the NR FRT and asked some specific questions, this thread was posted to quell some of the comments made in that thread. I have absolutely zero involvement with IRG other than having been a (satisfied) customer about 8 years ago.

Well its Sunday and they promised to release info this week. Monday is just a snooze away! Tell you this much, if you can put a 308 upper on it ill be ordering one.

This is actually technically possible maybe.. the m17 bullpup that was modernized is in 308 and 556.. it runs on an 180 boltcarrier system

Initially that was the goal with the AR18 - a rifle similar to an AR15 which would be relatively easy and cheap to manufacture, allowing less affluent militaries to set up domestic production. The appeal here in Canada is that it isn't prohibited or restricted, so rather than stamp it out of sheet metal, why not mill it out of aluminum and get a nicer finished product? The market for NR semi autos similar to ARs here is large and growing, and people have demonstrated that they're willing to pay a fair amount for something like that.

Not even a picture or prototype sketch in the entire 12 pages, Canada doesnt have time to spare with this F'UP government,we need as many NRs as we can and in a hurry!

Excitement dropping off sharply, just going to get a WS-MCR.

They probably want a deposit with a long wait time for delivery anyways. I can’t see two American companies having stock during times like these.
