The new NR NoDak Spud NDS 18SC

More nerd talk, I like seeing our members have real knowledge and opinions about things vs all asking for a version of a gun that takes pinned drum in 22mm cannon but with a folding stock and a 1.3” barrel that’s still NR and other nonsense

They don’t really, just a couple of mooks wanting to sound right on the internet.

Bartok5 is right in that it’s clearly the AR-18 that was copied by so many other designers. It wasn’t just the gas system they copied from it. Horilka is right in that the gas system design came earlier. I don’t see what part of that needed 3 pages of argument.

Well, before the nerdy talk I had contacted PSA and told them Canadians are eager to spend $ on their product should they decide to team up with IRG. I hope everyone who is commenting here did the same.

PSA is running a poll on what to work on. Not sure any of these voting options help our cause other than if we do get it approved the Jakl in .308 would be neat as well.
Heres the link to go vote on your fav product PSA should work on. Love how customer centric this company is. Like holy.

Would a .308 extended magwell NoDak 180 lower variant fall under the existing .223 lower's FRT, IRunGuns? One could hope.

Regardless, in addition to the web site comments to PSA, I would suggest including the Canadian/Anti-AR-15 state Jakl NoDak 180 as a write-in vote via comment in the PSA ShotShow work priority YouTube video.

Would that Vuk run a chance at Canada legal? It's a Jakl style upper but not the same as the AR lower mated one and not any AK parts and no AR style lower. Potential option for us here?

Is this actually gonna come to fruition? I just cant see psa doing this for the small canadian market not to mention the clock is ticking on what these liberal tyrants do next to the canadian firearms community

Our market is really not that small, and PSA has done more niche, small production runs of far more obscure stuff before and plans to do a lot more in the future if their Shot Show 2024 teasers are any indication. The NoDak Spud NDS 180SC receiver is really just a slight change to the AR lower geometry, and has nearly 100% parts compatibility with AR lower parts. That will be trivial for PSA to put into production if they really wanted to. The upper would be the standard JAKL upper that they have been producing in large quantities for a while, and slight changes to the geometry would allow it to attach to the 180SC lower (which is not the same as the 180b lower geometry). At least that's my speculation based on the photograph that irunguns has released of the prototype.

Our market is smaller than Washington state

35 million people and 2.5 million gun owners with what? 30% wanting black rifles? So... 800,0000 potential owners?

That's tiny market.

We import almost 300 million dollars of guns a year. At 1000 a day in sales vs USA at 44000 a day.

"Palmetto State Armory's core principle remains the same, and our commitment to freedom before profit remains unwavering." This is why having a PSA in Canada is based AF. Bet your ass they want to arm us against tyranny.

If 800 000 Canadians bought one (not saying that many would) and they were only 1500 dollars it would be 1.2 billion dollars in sales. If it is profitable for them, our smaller market isn't a reason for them not to make it happen.

Even if it was 1/4 that it's still 300 million for mostly the same gun the make anyways, plus what the hell stops them from selling the exact same gun in the USA, it's not like americans would hate our version. The fact crusader arms exists in the USA shows Americans are open to weird guns.

Also companies like Lockhart tactical, Kodiak, and crusader arms make money otherwise they wouldn't be doing this. Lockhart tactical can't even keep up they have a 3 month backlog of guns they need to make.
