the official "next M305 shipment arrival" thread

gee, if they are still sittin in China...... Marstar might wanna add another 500 or so to the order..... evry one will sell.... hell I'm gonna buy 2 as soon as they get into stock.

Keep in mind folks that Marstar have only the word of the guys at Norinco about shipments. As my friend has discovered when dealing with the Chinese, there appears not to be a direct translation for NO. There is a word meaning yes, and a word meaning "not yes", but there is not a word that means directly "NO".

My friends company import and broker pretty much every gas bbq made in China destined for North America. As part of the contract they sign with their suppliers, they insist on disclosure on how the plant will get the raw materials for production. One plant were honest in there ability to get materials, but the totals were 25% short per month of requirement for production.

Eventually it was explained to him that he would get his product. They would ship everything as soon as it was ready, at the price quoted and of the quality they specified. Timing however, was not guaranteed, and wouldn't be by any other supplier should they bother to look.

Patience grasshopper.

Wal-Mart deals extensively with Chinese manufactures and I can assure you that they do not apply those same business practices with them! There are normally dozens if not hundreds of manufactures in China producing the same merchandise or have the ability to produce the same thing. This leverages the buyer no the producer. No offense to your friend but he needs to wake-up and smell the coffee!

Since Norinco is the only Chinese weapons manufacturer (that I know of) that exports to the civilian market and is state owned things may be different but BBQ’s I don’t think so.

I can vouch for Canuck is saying, where I work we went through a middle man to get some construction materials from China. The price was good at the time, and delivery was supposed to be 4-6 weeks. Well we finally got the product this month, initial negotiations started last September! They appear to very secretive and evasive. I guess if you buy as much as Wal Mart you might get preferential treatment, but I do not believe that is the norm.

Walmart is one of his customers. As is Home Depot, Sears, K-Mart, etc. Ever wonder why most BBQ's look almost identical even though they come from competing chains?

Sorry if my post came off harsh, I don’t know jack about BBQ’s the girl I knew who worked for Wal-Mart bought handbags!!! But I can tell you she would nickel and dime the vendors to death (that’s per unit - orders were for millions). I always said she was to blame for thousands of Chinese kids making a dollar a day, except when they made Wal-Mart stuff then it was 90cents!:(

If a vendor didn’t met their price they moved on to the next one. They always had late delivery penalties and if they ever delivered late they dropped them. They always seemed to be plenty in line to take their place.

I always thought Wal-Mart dealt directly with the manufacturer, no middlemen?

What we need is more chinese gun manufacturers and less handbag ones.;) Then Norino's guns and ammo would be here already.
