We are getting close to the point where we are going to run a new lower for the SL8 that will allow it to take AR grips.

One of the ideas we are tossing around is to make the stock adapter modular, like the XCR. That way it can be made to take the new folder system we are launching for the XCR, 858 and 870, which would allow the installation of a folding AR or Skelleton stock.

Not something I'd buy, but you want to make something like the HERA Arms conversion? Sounds interesting, I'm sure there is a market for it, especially if it's less costly than the HERA arms conversion.

Also, you don't happen to have any demo magwells left?

Just broke the piggy bank open and picked up my sl8 today. It has the magwell kit, h&k sling, and aimpoint cm4?. My question is, which bipod seems to work best on this unit? Any comments?

Unless you want to keep it all HK parts, a typical Harris or similar bi pod will suit you needs perfectly.

x2. While the integral bipod availible for the G36 is a sleek option it does not provide the pan and tilt capabilities of a dedicated target bipod. So while it may be bulkier and a bit heavier you may be better served with a rail mounted unit like a Harris or a Vltor.

yeah! proud new owner of an SL8 today, cant wait to take it to the range this weekend. Question tho, Im looking to put small side rails and a full bottom rail on the gun. Where would I be able to pick those up?

I think Dlask makes them as well. Not sure on if they are the C, K or E variant. The E would fit all there and the K I believe would fit the sides. Might be worth a call as its a Canadian manufacturer.

As long as there is no German law against exporting, it would be legal by Canadian standards.

Command arms has G36C and G36K handguard listed in the 2009 cataloge. Wolverine has them listed on their site for $400.

And another question for those in the know... if there a stripper clip feeding system for the G36 Mags? I've watch SL8/G36 accessories for about 7 yrs now and haven't come across one yet.

Hard to imagine they do all that military and police loading one round at a time. I have on for my AR and it make thing alot easier/quicker on the line.

HK makes a loader for the G36. Don't know the part #.
Also BETA makes a 5 round loader # LHGP05-E
Maglula had one, but not sure if it went into production.

I've never seen one in person.
