The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

I'm just tired of IRG deleting all the posts that do not show them in anything but a Savior. I asked about warranty. Deleted. I asked about shipping. Deleted. I called Stag weeks before they came clean and was told IRG was not going to sell factory 18.75. It was only Arms East. I post that info and am called a liar. Then IRG deletes it and says they are still in process. Someone posts that the warranty is through Arms East if you buy from IRG. I post this is not true and Arms East/ IRG even confirmed but they delete it anyway. I'm sick of Vendors (IRG is the worst) deleting comments. IRG raised the alarm with the we will not ship receivers without barrels and Arms East is doing this illegally. When they got called out at how stupid they were being and how raising this flag with the RCMP was not a good idea what did they do? They lied they got answers at 11:30 at night from the RCMP lab then deleted everything except the pairse posts. I get when people are being stupid and hateful you should be able to delete but asking questions that need answering should not be allowed to be deleted. We now know they are not allowed to sell these here from STAG direct. Call Stag if you don't believe me. If you are getting one from them it has been purchased through some dealer in the states that is not following protocol. You will almost for sure not have warranty. Again call Stag if you have been fooled by IRG to ask what the real story is. I have asked over and over and get ignored and deleted by IRG. I called the manufacturer and have talked to Arms East and know what is really happening now.

How many weeks did they go on about factory 18.75 guns. They strung people along saying wait to see what we do it will be in your best interest then they finally admitted they are not doing them. All those people who waited are the ones now ordering from arms east for factory 18.75 guns and complain they might not be on the shipment because they got in late. They also complain Arms East hasn't been honest with them. Even thought 6 weeks ago they told everyone they were the ones doing factory guns and are the exclusive. it blows my mind how much IRG has a cult like following that they can do no wrong. I have ordered many times from them and they fill a niche but they are not some saviour to the industry.

I have seen enough on these forums from June till today, that IRG will never see any business from me.
I too talked to stag on the phone and got the straight answer on the whole thing very early in July before some of this came out on CGN. I immediately placed my order with the Authorized Canadian Stag Dealer .... and lucky for me I got my order placed in time and have had my receiver set for a few weeks now. I was very attracted to those parts package deals for completing the rifle that IRG was offering but not interested in doing any business with this company, regardless of the positive reviews in the past. I just see a business falling all over itself to try and be part of the Stag-10 release and made promises to customers that stag arms has no intention of letting them keep.

Full. They can shove that restocking B.S...

I told them to refund the whole amount in 24 hours or I was calling Visa. Took them 5 minutes to refund the initial purchase, and the GST and Canadian shipping.

The problem with IRG is at the heart of the company, the owner. The guys that work there are all good, and I've had good interactions with them. But he's the one that controls everything, and he's as shady as they come.

I’ve had some great dealings with IRG in the past - but the Stag situation has really thrown a wrench in their quality of service.

Also noticed their ‘selective’ postings in threads in their forum - as a couple of my posts have bitten the dust as well. I do hope they’re at least capable of bringing in the receiver sets and following through with the completion kits for next shipment (September), as promised have come and gone already... but each retailer at this point has had some hiccups.

So far the firearms industry is definitely the most common for let downs... or over-hypes and under-delivering might be a better wording - see the SLR for a prime example.
Pending if IRG delivers the Stag as promised in the next couple weeks, I’ll continue to use them in the future - but I’m a bit more observant of their shenanigans now, so any further mishaps will obviously lead to talking with my wallet and pursuing other vendors.

You forgot over pricing

You forgot over pricing

I never really understood this. I cannot say I have seen a blatant NR tax. All the NR guns of 5 years ago were pricey sure but they were also pricey in the states. At a 1.29 exchange most of them were very close. Some were more money if they needed barrel conversions etc.

But I really cannot recall something that was 800 bucks in the states and 2000 here.

Even now the stag is 600 bucks. That's 400 usd for an upper lower and parts kit. I dont think anyone can claim NR tax on that.

X95 is 2k list in usd 1700 street. 2700 list here 2100 on sale. People forget it costs money to bring stuff over the border and again at 1.3 exchange this is right on par.

ACR list is 2249 that's 3k with exchange.

Mini 14 is 1000 list in usd. 1200 here

FFS stores need to make money. All the complainers seem to have it all figured out but I dont see them opening up gun stores.

You smacked the nail right thru the 2x4 on that one man. I ran a small firearms related business for a handfull of years here on CGN but in the end was not willing to be crucified by the "Me-Now" generation here on CGN. Far too many complainers with zero idea of what it takes to be in this game. No matter how many dozens of customers you please beyond thier expectations.... there's always gonna be the ones that your service will never be good enough for. Rather than simply refusing the difficult to deal with customers, I decided to refuse the entire firearms community. Personally if I was a business doing my best , I would simply cancel and refund the orders of those who keep whining and trolling threads LOL

Just because some people are concerned about their budget does not mean they are complaining.

but those who complain about there budget have no business buying rifles that are going to cost them in the 2K ballpark. They should stick to the sks and the budget firearms and use thier "budget" to get ahead in other areas of thier life until thier income improves and they don't have to "budget" for a 2K firearm.
not razzin ya bud, yer one of the good ones in my books, but for what arrives in the box..... I think the Stag-10 receiver sets are priced "fairly" in Canada. I am disappointed to see them at 639(?) now but also understand that margins have to be satisfied over at arms east and I'm good with that.

The big one that comes to mind for me is the Keltec RFB...if you go by MSRP then it's closer but they sell for way less down south...

I think it only shows $639 because they are out of stock.

This is 100 percent right. I wish irg would come clean. They are not going to be able to do much warranty work when they are having to do underhand deals to get them.I keep asking questions on their forum and they just delete my posts.

I'm surprised it's taken people this long to realize IRG is not worth dealing with no matter what they can bring in. I know lot's of guys who have had issues with the service they received and will never deal with them again.

I sent them an email requesting full refund or I was calling ViSa. Minutes later received a refund MINUS 25%. I am so sick of this company

Call Visa. They can't enforce a restocking fee on an item that they don't even have in stock.

Time for people to wake up and see what this company does to people. They delete and cleanse their threads of all the truth and negativity so that they always come out looking good on the other end.

Agree'd, People who need to finance a rifle should take a step back and realize that it's stupid decisions to finance crap they don't need and really can't afford which is why they are in the position they are and can't afford the things they want.
If $700 for a receiver set seems excessive then don't buy one. It's simple. Not every product out there is being marketed to every person. I like Ferrari but I don't own one because I know I can't afford one even though I know the bank would probably approve me to finance one. Just because I can't afford one doesn't mean they are overpriced, it means they are marketed to people more successful than I am. I can accept that and I drive a GMC truck instead because it is something I can afford to buy and maintain.

I too ran my own business for ten years and ended up shutting it down because customer wanted me to price my equipment made out of stainless plate the same as all the plastick and aluminum sheet equivalents.

And i do get the free market thing.

I also see why customers would question why something costs ~ 30-40% less south of the boarder.
