IRG tried to get the whole thing shut down. They were trying to claim that arms east was importing illegally because they did not have barrels on receivers. Then they got called out at how dumb they were being and deleted everything.
Calling the rcmp and trying to shut them down after they got the frt was not cool in my book. What canadian firearms owners dont need is noise made about NR options. IRG did lots of underhanded stuff to try and paint arms east in a bad light. Was very disappointed about it. I have supported IRG in the past but not again.
Anyway I agree, back on track. I got my barrel from saskatoon gun works. 308 faxon pencil. Brownells for other stuff

I missed all that drama if it was on cgn
RDSC is one of the largest importers of black rifle parts. They even supply other retailers. They are my go to for AR parts of any kind. Usually if it is not in stock it isn't far out and they have flat rate shipping depending what method you choose.

ya , I got some stuff inbound from rdsc and paid for the fast delivery considering the looming possibility of a can post strike.
I think all I need now is the barrel and that won't be ready for a few months
Saw the faxon .308 20" the other day and there were 2 in stock..... hummed and hawed and figured maybe build a .308 while i wait for the .338 fed barrel and when i went back to grab a faxon they were gone LOL
no biggie, it will all come together.

I got my Stag 10 together tonight, build it from a receiver set that I got from RDSC. I'll get around to sighting it in tomorrow evening after work. Just under 7.06lb for the rifle & 8.26 with optic. I'm pretty happy with it. Ended up being a bit more expensive that I originally planned, but oh well. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow and start a thread about it. Hunting season is going to be awesome this year

Optic mout is a Aero Precision 1" mount, it looks kinda goofy, I don't have any 1" ring high enough, I'll find something after hunting season, this mount was originally supposed to be for my Maccabee
Vortex HD LH 3-15x42 HSR-4 reticle, I still have to find some scope caps
I will try a MFT stock tomorrow at the range as well, it is lighter, we will see how I like it.

Nice build! Almost the same as mine but I went with the Brigand handguard couldn't get a hold of a V7 but would really prefer that over the Brigand. I do the same K2 plus grip with titanium screw on most of my builds. The titanium screw is key hahaha

I ordered my Christensen Arms CFW barrel through Prophet River. CA won't sell direct to Canadian customers any more.
so I'm noticing that some of my mags will not push the bolt catch enough to lock the bolt back when i drop the mag.
what are the top choices for replacements these days?
I'm a "noob" to these rifles for lack of a better word so not sure if it's a follower issue or if a higher quality part is in order. If I push on the catch it will hold the bolt every time but like i say, some of my mags don't activate it enough.
