The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

I actually don’t have the Norgon. The Ambi Mag catch I picked up from TNA is the 2.0 Canada leaf version. Works great and no more mag issues. The catch on it might be slightly longer but I think it works because of the way it sits in the slot.

Thank you very much.

The pocket milled for the catch on mine is definitely out of spec and not deep enough. I've tried 4 other catches and only the Norgon worked because of the angle it has. The Stag 10 catch works perfectly in my AR lower so it's not the issue, the out of spec lower is the problem.

Got my Norgon catch and C7/C8 Ambi selector in the mail today both fit and function now i just have to wait for my M16 LPK, triad and my DD A1.5 rear sight to arrive then finish my mods to the handguards and ill be finished my C7A2 inspired build.

So, just wondering how perfect you'd expect the finish on your receiver to be after forking out $750. Mine has 3 distinct blemishes that go down to the metal. Not terribly thrilled. Oh, and the trigger has a mile of creep.

Mine came with a fairly significant gouge on the outside of the magwell. Probably half a mm deep and 3 mm long. Anodizing chipped out. Unfortunately the last one in stock. Oh well. I got tax in because of it.

I wouldn't be too happy about the dings. Hopefully they'll do something about it but I'd be betting there is no stock left so I imagine you'd be waiting if they offered a replacement.
The trigger though, pretty well expected from a milspec trigger, no?

looks almost like they put on a used dust guard? It has a scratch down to the metal as well.

Ya never nice getting a dented gun but sometimes it happens.
The dust covers are made of a different metal so the finish won't be the same. I don't think I ever seen a clean looking dust cover unless it was cerakoted.

Got mine last week and it has a nick in it too, at the rear of the upper receiver right where it mates with the lower. Maybe they need a bit more tlc. I'm not going to sweat it because it won't be the last ding it gets but it's always a little disappointing on a new toy.

Dust covers in my experience are always different than receiver. They're like tin or pot metal something cheap. Buy a strike industries if you want a nice one.

just picked up a receiver set today - M110 mags, XCR mags and P-mags all work fine in mine.
The KAC mags are tight in the magwell, but that will smooth out over a bit of use.

I suspect it's the rivet. My KAC mags are the same. They won't drop free, but do work. Gen 3 pmag and ASC 10 round pistol mags all latch in and drop free.

There was a mess up on my barrel, so I'm still waiting....

I "HK'd" my Stag a little

:)

I'd prefer the international 'bullet' and 'no-bullet' symbols, but I'll survive with the words.

Next step, streamline that 10 round/elongated/ranger plate mag

Nice.
what did you use for color?
I might add a bit more color to mine.
