The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

Not true, Its cheaper to build an AR10. You end up replacing parts on complete guns anyways.

No, it isn't cheaper to build an AR-10.
You may have chosen to change all the parts on a factory completed NEA/BCL due to some misplaced need or preferences, but generally, with a decent AR-10 as a starting base, as are the Stags on AE's website right now, you won't be needing to change anything and you won't be building it for that cost. Not until there are a good and plentiful supply of AR-10 parts coming to Canada for a decent price (or once the new ITAR regs come into effect) will we be doing that.

The only reason I buy BCL, PGW, Cadex, ATRS and Dlask Arms is simply because they are Canadian made.

I still buy the Stag 10 just because a Canadian company works his way up to get this to everybody also it's too cool to have the option.

So please stop bashing other brand and enjoy the rifle. Lol.

Love the 800$ stripped sets. Those wont sell at that price lol.

Won't sell at any price for a while. Market will pick back up for them eventually. My stag set was 800 to my door. Pretty hard to get 800 for a bcl when that option is available. Stag has an extra 100$ in parts with it and is anodized. If mine don't sell I'll keep it. 4 x ar10's. 5x uppers. Lol

Fortis has been known to flex and hit the gas block while on a bipod.

Yup. The Fortis on my MV does exactly that.

Was getting the infamous "flyers" until I mounted the bi-pod mid way instead of at the end AND learned to shoot without putting much downward pressure on the rifle. No more contact from "loading" the bi-pod or from recoil. Rifle shoots awesome now.

My only concern is if I'll get away with that on a larger heavier platform like the Stag 10. Maybe it's best I scratch the Fortis off my list

Seems like you and everybody else, lots of 102's recently hit the ee.

If 4 is a lot, and a pile of stripped receivers no one is going to buy now since the stag is cheaper (except maybe dilligaf's cause it's a 1st gen and cheap haha)

I don't think the 102's are going anywhere. Once the hype dies down from the Stag's coming to market you'll find people will still buy the BCL for the sole reason that they are cheapest (people still bought NEA's AR15's after all)
However all the NEA/BCL haters now have an option, and the people who NEED a charging handle for whatever reason, and those who would rather start with a bit better rifle for a few more $$$, or would prefer a more straightforward build from nothing. Stag makes a good product but they are still on the cheap side of the AR10 market and while generally well received still have gremlins of their own. Go watch a few reviews and you'll see for yourself.

Will I get a Stag Arm's once a few of the projects I have on the go are done? Absolutely.
Will I ditch my BCL102's for them? No. It's also a buyer's market right now on the EE.
Would I have bought a Stag stripped set instead of a BCL set had it been out a month ago? Yes. It's cheaper, easier to work with, and to me is more visually appealing.

Arms East did a great job of bringing these to market. I also think Ryan does a great job promoting and doing damage control for the BCL's. We are a tough crowd here.

I dont see that ever happening, Not with the Stag Stripped Set at 289 US... hahahahah

I said it before the only reason the 102's sold was the NR status, Im just glad im only out of pocket a few hundred bucks and I can reuse all my parts :)

It really does suck for the guys that paid full price for complete 102's

Just placed my order on the Stag website for the strripped set. will see how this plays out...lol... So 289 US + 35$ import fee. should be around 445$ . Thats insane compared to the 102 that I paid 800$ for...

I dont do PRS, not my thing. So I dont understand why he keeps saying that I can buy something for cheaper...lol...

I like that paper city hand guard and fabarm stock but bbl too heavy as you said. I'm gonna use a faxon match fluted.

Anyone know if we can get those PCF hg's?

Yes it is thanks to brownells and @ztek. I dont buy my parts in Canada. The 2 rifles you posted are nothing close to something you can actually use. 24" barrel really ? ...11 LBS grosss....

I dont do PRS, not my thing. So I dont understand why he keeps saying that I can buy something for cheaper...lol...

I don't buy my parts in Canada either and even though they are cheaper being sourced through the States, I'm realistic with what parts cost and what it takes to build ARs.
AE said they are just starting to populate their site with what's coming available.
I'm not saying we won't be able to build for cheaper...eventually... but as it stands even at the price of $695 for stripped receivers, the build out is going to run guys more money than an already built out Stag.

It looks like in addition to fully completed rifles, they'll be doing sudo-stripped models as well:

...or wait and see what else they release in the coming week(s). They said in the other thread that .308 rifles are going to be less the Creedmore.
But whatever floats your boat.
