The T97 Thread!

Since it looks like the T97 LHG is sold out and no indication it'll come back, anyone have thoughts on something like this, or tried anything similar?

Seems reasonably easy and the polymer is probably strong enough, despite the fact that I like the look & functionality over stock there's something I can't put my finger on that makes me skeptical.

Should be fine. Looks like it was added over top.

Dang! A perfect case arrives a year too late.

I was looking for something like this for my new T97 last year, and ended-up buying the company's coffin-shaped 32" model which (as advised) perfectly fitted my 30" T97.

The construction and materials of mine are flawless ... thousands of 5-star reviews on Amazon.

It looks like this brand-new low-profile model (called 30") will perfectly hold the T97 as well. Look carefully at the dimensions diagram. They've accurized their descriptions/specs with these new models.

Also available as an instrument-shaped case ... probably illegal in Canada!

I paid like $25 for these. Fit great with a scope or anything on a T97.

It looks it.

I was sharing the news of this particular Savior entirely because of its discreet appearance. The super-high quality of its construction and materials is the "icing on the cake" ... it gives me the zing ... as Wranglerstar would say.

There's a certain go-to-hell joy about owning something that's made a whole-lot better than it needs to be.

Anyone have an issue with the factory magazines getting stuck in the magwell? The last time I took it to the range the LAR magazines I had worked perfectly but the factory magazines wouldn't budge and I needed to strip the rifle to get them out.

They are very big. Plus depending on how it is pinned, the pin sticking out may add to the problem.

I never used mine.

Anybody having any luck finding a replacement pistol grip?
I have checked as many sites that I know here at home and in the US with not much luck.
A hydraulic ram did my middle finger on my right hand a bit of crooked damage a number of years ago and I have always had an issue with the A2 style bump on the Ar and Tavor grip.
Contemplating filing the bump off the grip but not to keen on that just yet.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Jeff

I don’t know what the problem is with bringing in furniture. Everyone is sold out of other stuff like AK grips as well.

Not compatible.

If you go on youtube and look for Yul Parts, a guy made one specifically for the T97 and it works great. You send him an email, and he mails you the part. But he probably made his single run years ago who knows if he still has any.

I've owned both. The T97 is viable choice if you're on a tight budget, but if you can afford it, you are getting way more than twice the rifle with the X95.

He made a few more near the tail end of 2022, I believe.

Hi,

Other than the T97.caa LHG which is NLA, is there any known way to improve the trigger feel? It is soooooooooooo long from the factory.

I'm sorry if its been covered but I got deflated by there being another 194 pages to scour for info.

Of course, if anyone is looking to sell their 97.ca LHG...

Thanks

Trying to buy a type 97 gen 1 with the carry handle and I will be keeping the carry handle if I get it so I’m wondering if there are any pic mounts still available for the gen 1 or am I going to have to go second hand

They do exist, do a google search and you'll find them. They're not an ideal solution, they're big enough that in order to remove the carry handle (for stripping/cleaning) you'd have to remove the rail, but there's not much reason to remove the carry handle anyway. You can do most cleaning with it still on.

There used to be a company called BC Tactical that made a rail just big enough for a red dot that would allow you to still take the handle off with light modification. It was the best rail adaptor but they haven't been made in years, sadly.
