The T97 Thread!

Mine run everything amazingly.

45 grain frangible
55 grain bulk
62 grain bulk
69 grain match
77 grain match

If you're talking groups, it seems to do better with heavier. My best groups are 69 grain Hornady match. Or similar hand loads.

Thanks Shawn so far the best is with some high quality 55 gr factory, after my x95 debacle I am very pleased so far.
Will be picking up a box of some heavier stuff just to see how well it does with it. 69 gr Hornady it is.

Just modded this Rhino R-23 AR Magwell (https://www.rainierarms.com/armaspec-rhino-r-23-tactical-magwell/) and fitted it on the T97 so if anyone is looking for magwell mod, this might be a good reference. You will have to cut the top part (the magwell is plastic btw) just above the first screw. Tested reloading mags and I would say definitely works faster for me compare to without one according to my time trials. BTW I'll be taking my T97 to my first 2Gun in 2019. PM me if you are interested in seeing some pics, if none then I wouldn't bother taking pics lol

So it they told me they had contact EMEI/Norinco a while ago about procuring spare parts kits and they are still waiting for a definite response in whether they will be getting them.

Sure hope so.

I seem to recall that somebody on here had a firing pin failure a little while ago. Spares I would want to have on hand for pretty much any semi auto rifle would be extractors and ejectors. Sometimes the related springs go awol because of the failure.

Problem is that the retaining pin is peened so there is no easy way to remove the extractor and the firing pin.

The cleaning kit contains a pair of punches that you can use to remove both roll pins. They interlock with eachother, so you have to remove one before the other. I've done it a few times, it's easy. Getting them back in is a bit more finnicky because you have to align them a bit.

Yeah I need a gen 1 to complement my gen 2.

Now someone needs to get on convincing the PLA to export us 5.8mm and the 5.8mm QBZs variants then my collection will be complete
