No. The rail is screwed into front and back mounting points and the gen 1 has nowhere to drill and tap.

Thank you. Only issue I have with the carry handle is height over bore with a red dot but its not the end of the world.

Any lefties using this rifle? Wondering if you have had any success mounting an optic further back on the rail or even with a reflex.

I can't focus on the front iron without creeping forward and getting in the way of ejecting brass.

Just tried it on my gen 2. Definitely metric.

That said, you should get a complete set anyway. I have a Husky 3 piece set with SAE, Metric and Torx heads.

Just ordered a T97 G3 and was hoping somebody can share their experiences, specifically with the magwell issue. Is the G3 just as picky with mags as was the pervious generations or has this been resolved?

That's not too bad. I can install another muzzle device (and will probably try a few different ones anyway) myself. Problem is finding someone willing to do the threading out here in GTA.

I called a place near me, but they said they couldn't do it.

Did they have to strip out the barrel completely by removing cross pins at the gas block and chamber? I imagine they'd have to in order to fit it into a lathe.

Yes I believe they did.

Speaking of custom T97 work: someone really should make a folding charging handle for it.
