The T97 Thread!

So a while ago, someone started a thread (that I cannot find now) about his T97 sometimes firing twice with a single pull of the trigger. Well lo and behold, my T97 was behaving in the same way on its first outing yesterday. Specifically, it would sometimes chamber and fire a second round with the bolt staying closed and not ejecting the empty second casing. In addition, it would sometimes make a soft strike on the primer (leaving a visible mark) but not firing. I assume that the firing pin must be still partially forward to be causing this (although I'm not sure why the second casing wouldn't be ejected). This problem seemed to be occurring regardless of which magazine I was using (original mag, LAR, or Beowulf) -- although the smaller capacity of the original mag meant it was only seen once. There may also have been some impact from trigger pull -- the problem seemed to occur more often when I pulled the trigger more softly, whereas a hard pull all the way to the back would be fine.

So any thoughts? Should I look to see if this can be repaired under warranty or is this just one of the joys of breaking in a new T97?

it just sounds like your firing pin is getting stuck. its free floating so you gotta make sure its lubed up

Hey, I am trying to find some type 97 scopes w/ accessories - yma-95 - to be exact; along with a pair of appropriate type 97 slings. Does anyone know any dealers that stock them?

I know an old sponsor "stocked" them, but appear to be no more than vapor ware. Does anyone know of any that are simply not listed on internet inventory. Cheers!

I am really sold to T97 NSR and the only thing that is prohibiting me to swap my CQ with a T97 is being a left hand shooter.

A friend directed me to the post 398 on the page 40 of this thread , but i am failed to get the idea

Would some one please explain the making of such deflector in detail .

Regards

I made a deflector as a lefty. Later I can explain, at least one of several methods. I was thinking of making 1/2 dozen deflectors for us poor souls this summer.

plz explain with pictures . There are many poor souls those would be praying for you

I wonder what left handed PLA members do, or are they content with taking the random shot of brass to the face from time to time?

I purchased one of these about two weeks ago and am having the same issues. I took it back and they are looking into it. Will post if I find out anything.

Here are a couple videos of the problem in action:
