The T97 Thread!

The right side one works nice cause you can use it with gloves or even mitts on. They also have a flared magwell with a built in mag release and bolt lock that works without a mag in it.
 
The one Ok thing is if you use LAR 10 rnd {singularly} or Beowulf, you can cup your hand under the mag in such a way it feels somewhat Natural to hit the button, & you can then pull it out if need be or slight tug, or jst move your hand out the way for drop free. But long magz, obvi. this doesnt work. It needz that 'Reach a Round'. & Im not too keen on that ;) An oversize button would be nice for that situ. of the smaller magz. I only put maybe 100 rnd through mine. I bought it Brand New at GS. 2 years ago almost! Whats the warranty on these anyways? & What is all covered? Need to put some rounds down range Like soon! I really like the T 97! Thinking of another similar prices .223 that will share magz with it as I got rid of my Mini as it doesnt do that :p

I think it comes down to personal preference. I like the RH mag release.
 
Video incoming of T97 accuracy at 100 yards with various ammo.

Notes:
I normally get better groups with norinco but it is what it is.
I didn't have any Hornady match which is usually my most accurate groups
it was a bit windy
I expected more out of the IMI razor core.
AE and tulammo did really good in my opinion.
Ignore the original AE group measuring, I measured to a hole from the nosler, didn't notice 2 shots in 1 hole for the AE at first.

I know 1 group doesn't say much but its just an example.

Actually 2 years ago we were trying to get them into Canada however the designer/manufacturer wanted minimum 5000 units. So we just dropped it we are too small. If company like North Sylva would be interested in getting contact information I will gladly give it to them

What!? Are there even 5000 T97s in Canada?
 
I did this! Drilled out the rivet and put a small bolt thru on the left side. Found a plastic spacer as a filler and nicer grip
Sort of like a C6 handle... it still needs some refining.. but much better to the side then using your fingers on the top in its stock form...
