This version is much ###y than the black stock version, anyone know what's the different between them?

Given the fact that the Sniper variant is displayed just above... and I think I see a "laser pointer" on the sight... it could be the Commander variant. The grenade launcher is just an attachable accessory.

I definitely prefer the black, though.

I like green better but I am more concerned about the Mepro 21- it is an outdated technology with some obvious drawbacks, like KevinB has said. -I would rather take my chance with the MARS but it's published battery life of 80 hours is rather pathetic ( I assume that the life with the laser is on too- but even 500 hours is not that impressive-well at least AA is inexpensive) - the rail will be the best option ( Aimpoint Comp M4......or Eotech) IDF spent $7million on MARS for their TAVOR- so that means pretty much half of the TAVOR purchased are coming with MARS. So far I only see the export version to Columbia to be equiped with Mepro 21. All rifles carried by IDF seem to be equiped with MARS.

CBSA has the same thoughts

-- We tried the Israeli's for M203 and got shot down importing them -- they dont have a problem selling -- its a Canadian issue at work here.

Even when being registered with the proper agencies and all the associated paperwork being in place? What is so different between owing one and importing them? So long as they are not prohibited and the buyers have the necessary associated documentation.

CBSA follows the ITAR regulations -- remember the US brought in ITAR so the UN would stay the #### out of our sporting arms habit.
ITAR considers the 40mm Grenade Launcher a weapon of war -- thus it is not legal for civilian importation.
The Catch22 issue - its legal to own -- but not to import.
My old M203 was a Israeli import -- OGT brought in a bunch in the 80's --the first one I saw sold for $600 in 1988 -- up over $3200 now since you cannot bring in new ones.
Supply and Demand

The Mk203 project thread hashed all the legal issues of the import - ownership etc. about it.

Well no doubt some enterprising young soul will make a US Made reciever (like the Aug clone) and voila - 30 rd mags...

America may have some screwy gun laws -- but they are head and shoulders above Canadian ones.

Well, we're up to 10 rds. We're getting there, ever so slowly.

KevinB, have you heard anything about Tavor when you were over there?

Howcome the Tavor 2 isnt being sold to us, but that we are getting the older version?
Are they just dumping overflow from the IDF rejection lot?
