I just got a return email from Chris saying that it might be in the New Year before I get one, from a September order.

The wait is killing me.

How about having one in-hand but not being able to use it because the left-hand bolts are still not here?

I'd buy one tomorrow. Any news about this CAN AM?

I read somewhere that that is the only deal they can negotiate at the moment. these guys havn't been in production for a long time, and I'm sure that they are not about to go out of their way to make a special version just for some whiny Canadians, which liekely takes up less than 1% or their total sales.

It would be awesome if we had that option, but it is not a reality. We are lucky enough to get these in the first place.

so the tavors with the new bolts haven't arrived yet?
i ordered one last year, cancelled it beginning of this year
i'm thinkin about ordering again,,, but i really dont want to cancel it again next year...

Bullpup rifles are not prohibited, aftermarket bullpup stocks are. At least thats what i have come to understand from CGN.

the G22 is prohibited because some hot shot cop walked into a gun shop, and said so.

Nice troll, champ.

The G22 is prohib because the stock can be removed and then still be fired. If you came out with a conventional stock for the G22 they would be back on store shelves.

The Tavor bypasses the problem because the stock is integral to the receiver. You cant separate the two and have the rifle function so it is not affected by the law which prohibits "Bullpup stocks" not "Bullpup firearms".

The G22's prohib status has nothing to do with "some hot shot cop" any more than it could also be blamed on "some hot shot dermatologist" or perhaps "some hot shot McDonald's janitor" The G22 fits with the legal cubbyhole of prohib because that's the way it came off the drawing board, end of story. Keep your inflammatory remarks to yourself. Now run along upstairs, your mom is calling you.
