The "What Have You Reloaded Today" thread

Is anyone reloading 338 Lap in Ottawa. I have brass but would like to reload them before tuesday if that's possible.? Of course I will pay for supplies. I have about 60 rnds
I will be north of Kingston for 3 weeks as of tuesday and could do it there.

PM me if you can help.

Reloading For others without a license is illegal. Now letting you use their tools to reload for yourself using your supplied brass etc that'll be legal.

It used to be but now as long as you don't sell the reloaded ammo commercially, it's OK. I had my butt handed to me on this a while back and it's in the explosives act.

As a bit of an experiment today I loaded up some 43 Mauser using reformed cases from 458 Win Mag. I had previously reformed other mag brass from 7mm Rem to 338 Win Mag into 43 Mauser but the 458 Win Mag was very easy to work with for this conversion because it was already necked up with nice straight case walls.

200 match rounds, 41.7gr 4064 hand trickled +/- 1 grain pushing a 175 smk in lapua cases. SD of 9 es of 17 2560 fps.

Neck sized and primed another 100 once fired lapua and primed another 100 of virgin lapua.

.45 TC cast with Lee 6 cavity mould. They come out at 239 grains. Powder coated with "Tool Blue", swaged to .452. Loaded with 4.5 grains "231" chronnys at ~750 fps. Very accurate with power factor of 180.

9mm RN cast with Lee 6 cavity mould. They come out at 129 grains. Powder coated with "Tool Blue" and peened with Hexagonal Boron Nitride, not swaged, diameter is nominally .358. Loaded with 3.9 grains "Titegroup" chronnys at ~1050 fps for a power factor of 135. No barrel leading !

Rounds for my Remington 798 .350 Remington Magnum. My hunting load is the Woodleigh 310gr RN at 2500 fps. Going to check speed and grouping of the Hornady 250gr RN. Hornady 38 caliber (.357") 158gr for plinking -

Sort of alternating between .223s with 80 SMKs. .338 Edge with 300 grainSMKs, .300 with 190 LR Accubonds and casting and loading 535 Postells in 45-70 black powder loads. 45-70s this morning. Don't want to get in a rut. A rut is just a grave with the ends kicked out.

Started case prep yesterday (decap, fl resize, measure/trim, prime) for a shoot tomorrow with my .17 Hornet. I'm still experimenting with some 25 grain Rem PowerLokt HPs that I scored a bunch of from a CGN'er, but will be loading up 9.2grs of Lil' Gun lit by CCI 400s. Last time out I was testing loads in increments of .1gr starting at 8.8, and 9.2 showed the most accuracy potential. Tomorrow I expect to clock them; didn't have a chance last time. I'll also be loading up some more 20gr VMAX sitting on 9.5grs of Lil' Gun. This load gave me an average of about 3730fps last time I clocked them. This is an accurate load as well.

My next step with the 25grs will be to experiment with some of the other powders I have on hand (296, IMR4227, IMR4198). I don't expect I'll get quite the speeds I do with Lil' Gun, but want to find backup loads in case I have trouble sourcing more Lil' Gun in the short term.

Seated 51 208gr ELD's and 36 155gr scenars into some finished lapua brass for my two .308 LR shooters. Tonight, it's brass prep for 80 pieces of lapua .223 and tomorrow, more bullet seating. (Big weekend ahead.)

Finally off my match rifle kick, had a chance to load up some rounds for deer season:

30-30, win brass, 4x fired, annealed, light chamfer, CCI primer, H4895 under 150 Speer Hotcor.

Just finished loading some .338 Federal using .308 brass, 180gr Nosler and 200gr Speer bullets used 50gr of CFE 223 and Wimchester LR primers, and some .458 Socom in 300gr Remington JHP with 42gr of Reloader 7 and CCI350 large pistol magnum primers

Literally just finished reloading 50 x 30-06 / 147gr CamPro for my M1 Garand and 1903A3.

Used IMR 4064 @ 48gr, mixed brass and LRP Winchester

I was able to test and use the large rifle powder die by Lee on my classic cast.
