Could be, I didn't read much into it. So, 223 ar aside, what are those that own a Beowulf or 458 upper (if anyone) expected to do to stay within the law currently? Has anyone posed that question to the RC's or had any experience with that?
Weren't the 9mm Promags that Questar brought in 10/32 pistol mags? If they got those approved don't see why you couldn't do the same for 5.56mm mags. Of course their is no logic you can use when the mounties rewrite the rules as they go.
I agree, Change the language, there is no "loopholes",Only the application and current interpretation of our laws as they are written. We should be carefull as to what we wish for,the stroke of a pen and we loose what we have now. Don't misunderstand me though the laws are shadeily written in a manner to purpously confuse the masses(us) and they ....well suck. In the meantime till we get REGULAR capacity mags back we got what we got.I think this thread should disappear into the black hole. Calling stuff loopholes means your asking for something to change not in our favor.

So we all know about the LAR loophole for a 10 round magazine. The only issue I have with them is that they are ugly as sin. I love the look of a curved 30 rounder (yes, the LAR connectors get you close). So let's say magpul could be convinced to build a LAR specific PMAG that was marked "pistol only" and permanently pinned or blocked to 10 rounds, but still with the look of the 30 round body. Would this satisfy Canadian law? Yes I realize how difficult it would be to convince magpul to do such a thing, lets not debate that here. Just looking for the legality side of things.
One of the links mentions Dlask trying it.
Way I figure it: if you really want a 30 rounder, join the Forces. They'll satisfy that need and then some.
They are no longer Importable due to ease of modification.

As far as a marketable extension this has been tried, everybody wants something ,but does not want to spend the $$$ on such an item(very NICHE market). I will however continue to make for myself and the select few that are willing to purchase my own extensions. Untill there is enough interest to commission manufacturing I will continue to do these at home. Anyway I'm officially on holidays and going shooting for a week..Yahoo!!!

Nice looking extension... would love to purchase one to take a closer look at it. Depending on pricing we might be interested in helping you market this (if you like). We had a similar design that we tried to have made a couple of years ago but the costs were just too high for what we figured was a very limited market and so we gave up on the idea.
