Seeing as how the OP was using the rifle with said "bulge" I see no issue. A KB with factory ammo or even proper reloads will result in damage to the rifle with little to any damage to the shooter. Firearms are dangerous, you take your chances every time shoot.

Boresnakes and high end Noveske SS barrels = not good.
I am leaning towards the boresnake for the problem
That's a special "heightened speed and accuracy buldge" reserved for the very best of the best. Lucky you!
(...the power went out just as they were putting in the rifling.)
I would have looked into those types of issues before purchase, I can't stand people who don't stand behind their products with good customer service.Do you have any idea on how hard that will be with Noveske
why is that your problem?, it's up to them to figure out the logistics of their warranty on manufacturers defects. I find it hard to believe that the indent was there from day one and you didn't notice untill 500rnds later.....it must have happened over time, or there was a faulty ammunition issue.Even if Noveske DID offer a replacement, how am I going to get a 12.5" barrel from them??

Can you say with 100% certainty its unsafe? There are no guarantees, firearms are dangerous. I'd shoot the rifle without hesitation. If anything, the barrel may split or shear at or near the bulge. With a solid bolt and lockup there is no risk to the shooter with such a bulge. I would be more concerned with performance over safety.

Maybe you can suggest how I can exchange it? I'm open to any suggestions, but as far as I know it's fairly difficult to get past the export restrictions.

If there is anyone in canada that is a dealer or anyone that imports their product they will most likely forward you to them for replacement if it is a defect and they will warranty it. As a customer you should not have to handle the export logistics for them..... how did you get the one you have into the country if it is to difficult to get a replacement?Maybe you can suggest how I can exchange it? The issue is us DOS will want to know how you got it from and how a ITAR restricted item managed to get to a Civi end user.
You may wan to get you paperwork in order before sendign it back.
On the bore stake issue, how it can damage a barrel.
Put oil on snake, drop it into you barrle, pull it fast and it sometimes pool oil in the barrle and its pulled.
I have seen this happen in the shotguns i clean.

That would be an issue if you were dealing directly with them by yourself..... I'm not sure why he would have to figure out how they are going to replace his barrel when they are going to warranty it by sending him a new one?. How did he get the barrel in the first place and is now using it if it is illegal? Talk to the original importer/dealer of your barrel for help. The issue is us DOS will want to know how you got it from and how a ITAR restricted item managed to get to a Civi end user.
