I was at Cabela's in Barrie this past Saturday morning. The ammo clerk gave me the following:
-they are all out of .22 LR at this moment
-they "might" be getting a truck in this week
-people are buying as much as possible when it is in stock, often 2-3 guys taking a whole shipment's worth
-they are probably instituting "per customer" limits of 2 boxes; in his words, "selling less .22 LR to more people"
That is a new one for Canada a gas station having ammo. You must be in the west never seen that in Ontario I would like to though. One other thing is I wish I knew this was going to happen years ago I would have stocked up when you could get a bulk pack for $12.00-15.00
The proper way to buy .22 is by the case, not the box or brick. If you buy three cases, 15,000 rounds...you are good for YEARS.
There is a gas station near where I live, always has .22, higher price but they always seem to have it.
I'm willing to bet Perkins. Only place I've ever heard of that you can buy gas and guns! I was there a couple of weeks ago and not a 22lr in sight. He said some American came in and bought it all. My guess is that cbsa has it all now.
You are not the norm, Travis Bickle.
When I go to the range, it is usually for half a day... I mix centerfire and rimfire shooting... 200-300 centerfire rounds and a brick plus of rimfire is the norm... all the guys I shoot with do the same...
I enjoy shooting...

Crazy price for shipping from reliable.
Same province and they want 70 bucks to ship 4 bricks.
I shoot groups on paper.
5 rounds, walk to the target, check, assess, patch.
Go back try and get better and better with every group.
It's pretty much what I do with all my guns. More like therapy and relaxation for me personally.
Sometimes set up pop cans full of water so I can pick them up easily after I hit them.
I don't blast away with thousands of rounds each trip with any gun, never did.
I guess I'm wierd lol
are you saying you run a patch after every 5 rounds?
are you saying you run a patch after every 5 rounds?
I believe that Travis "patches" his targets......ie covers the 5 holes ,then shoots another group........Has nothing to do with cleaning his rifle.
Those who burn off hundreds of rounds at a session likely do not/have never "patched" a target!!! Patching targets is a practice used by less less wasteful shooters .
Find me a place to buy 5000, or 10,000 for cheap then 7 cents and round and im in.
