This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

My local gun store in Hamilton has match .22 lr ammo at $9.00 for a box of 50! They had CCI .22 long, but no lr.

Don't feel left out on the .22 lr ammo shortage. I receive an email from Brownell's that provides information on sale items. A few weeks ago I noticed that they had 500 round bricks of .22 lr ammo for sale for around $60.00!

This post made me look at what they have now, check this out!

"Out of Stock" is in the US as well.

Glad I bought a fair bit a couple of years ago.

Bass pro in Vaughn has no .22.

They want $69 for 1000 cci large rifle primers .

I'm going to tell my family to stop buying me gift cards for there, I can't stand that place.

They do gett CCI (mostly mini mags) in.

Problem is they aren't getting large quantities in and they sell out same day it goes on the shelf.

I lucked out Thanksgiving Monday and was able to pick up 500 CCI mini mags, a bunch of Federal blue box and Remington Golden Bullet. Been to Bass Pro 5 times since and the .22lr cabinet has been completely empty every time but one when there was a couple 100 round boxes of Winchester Super X.

I haven't seen any CCI at the Markham LeBaron in close to a year . Only Winchester 222 and 333 round boxes.

CT in Medicine Hat was stocked to the tits tonight with everything... except CCI Mini-mags, of course. Someone heard I liked them so no one in town brings them in.

CCI Standards and Velocitors, Sellier & Bellot, Winchester 222s and 333s, Dynapoint GT bricks, Remington Thunderbolt and Golden Bullet bricks, bunch of other stuff too- they must have just been stocked before I got there.

Prices you'd expect, though- $40 a brick of 500, $5-6 for 50 of the CCIs and Sellier & Bellot.

Got a brick of the Dynapoints and the S&Bs to try out while I was passing by.

Two Canadian Tire in Montréal got no .22lr
Two in Québec City got none either.
Wal-Mart in QC and in Sherbrooke had none.
Sail in Brossard or Québec got none (well they got some target stuff at 10$ for 50)
LGS in Sherbrooke got none
LGS in Rimouski got none.
Canadian Tire in Rimouski had a box of 22lr Winchester 222

Both Sail had 38SW in stock and tons of cheap .303. (20$ for 20) if anyone is interested.

Just picked up 5 bricks of Dynapoints from Canadian Tire Capilano in Edmonton, there were 4 more that I didnt grab. Silly cashier charged me for 4 not five so instead of being $200 it was only $160.

I think the days of a $20 brick of .22 shells is gone for good.

Walmart here doesn't seem to restock.. or people just buy it right away. I really liked the Dynapoints but only shot 1 box.
