Entry level rifles are more expensive.

But are they? $400usd for a barrel is $580CAD, virtually the same as a CVA Scout and nearly $100 more than the Rossi LWC.

You can also get bolt guns for that sort of price - Cabelas has the Axis on for like $450 every other week practically, and there's other options like Stevens 334, and gen 1/1.5 Ruger Americans regularly available for $600 or less.

And that's JUST the cost of a barrel, you still need to buy a receiver.

For me, the appeal of the TC series is the uncommon calibers you can get in em, like the JDJ stuff. Plus the overall size of them is hard to match, most other rifles come with 18-22" barrels but you can go much shorter with a TC if you wanted to.

I have been in the Encore market sort of passively for a while trying to find a decent price. Sounds like I may be in luck soon.
The problem I see is they are basically putting the prices out to gauge interest. Are people putting money down and pre ordering?Another thing is how far along are they in setting up the production lines ? The one thing I can see happening is once stuff starts rolling off the line it’s USA first and then we get stuff once the US market is filled. I hate to say it but I don’t expect anything before 2028. I would love to be proven wrong. Once a new model is released in the US it takes what normally a year to arrive up here. In meantime I’ll continue to try and find more used barrels.

I’m starting to like the idea of these
They're great. I only got a pistol frame, as I only shoot at ranges. But I can put a stock, long barrel etc. Was thinking getting a SSK grip to change to rifle stock easier.

Took this one to the range, asked the guys if they had their ears on. They scoffed thinking since it was just a pistol it wouldnt be bad. Their 16inch 30/30 had nothing on this.

And these are considered a pistol round :)

I was intrested in these in my early 20s, even though I had tones of Black guns, tactical pistols. I do miss my super 14 in 357 Rem max. Even back then it was about 50$ for a box of 20.

I just pre ordered an encore 15 inch .410/45colt barrel from eabco suppose to be out first quarter of 2025. They also have 20 and 12 Guage smooth bore barrels listed and they ship direct to Canada

In addition to my rifle already being set up in .280 Rem I also have spare barrels in .270 & .30-06

Would love to ad, 6.5x55mm; 7mm-08; .30-30 Win just for fun.

NAA.

I have been a T/C fanboy for years.

My Encore is in 7MM-08, 22-250, 300 Blackout, 416 RIGBY and a .50 BP

The only additional barrel in the future will be a 45-70

Ya man, my appreciation for them never really started until after they were off the shelves.. and I refuse to pay peoples T/C rarity tax. Hopefully they come back out bigger and badder than ever, and the profiteers are stuck with common rifles once again

Just picked up another TC barrel. New old stock. Probably one of the last few original barrels left on a store shelf. 23” G2 blue in 6.8 SPC. Came with 100 new PPU brass and new Lyman dies. Had to stop into Cabelas after work yesterday to pick up some bullets. Only thing they had was 130 gr interlocks. Came home and checked the data out and found a powder I have, H335 should work.

Baah humbug.
Once you’re in, you’re in. 🧈

I'm just finding out about these modern single shot rifles in an abundance of useful, quick change calibers.
Had a CVA Scout and a T/C slip through my fingers this week, wasn't fast enough on the postings. They both sold very fast.

I'll definitely be tracking down one of these in a few calibers as soon as I can for hunting this year. Does anyone have any advice where I can order from easily? Cheers!

Where did you acquire the Sharps Bros pistol grip?
I ordered it direct from sharps bros to my knowledge I was the first to get one in Canada owner changed the shipper ng options on website just to allow me to order direct I actually have there matching forend now also ordered direct. Great guy he personally responded to my email about the grip within minutes when I inquired

$400 for a receiver and $400 for a barrel? So more like $1200 CAD? Thats not bad considering what a used one is gonna cost you these days.

I've always wanted one of these with a few barrels, theres some neat calibers that aren't really available outside this platform.
seen a reciever with front rear stock for 600 last week, it sold and guy bought it had it on for 800 3 days later .. nuts

People price gouge with there prices I can understand prices for a contender receiver that was sold as a rifle receiver but asking prices for encore receivers in Canada is absurd like another fellow in here mentioned him getting interested in encores after the closed up shop I was also in the same boat I knew these exsisted but never liked the feel of the grip on the encore stock. But then I seen the sharps bros set up and had to have one. I actually went into my local gun shop and Lo and behold there was a blued gun with 30-06 barrel and beautifull wood stock. For like 600.00 bucks and it was mint. I immediately told buddy be hind counter that’s sold and he said no it’s available and I said no it’s sold to me. The receiver actually cost me zero after I sold barrel for 350.00 and the stock set for 250.00 deals are out there
