This is a better picture of the Spartan IV (along with a Spartan III)
These are new, while the one above is used.
I love my 9mm 1911's....from STI to S&W and even this affordable but extremely well build SAM.
The best luck I've had with mags are Springfield with the feed lip on the front of the mag and Mec Gar's.

I just love the 1911 platform in all it's calibers, fros my Gsg.22 to my 9mm, .40. And .45.....honestly it's my Gsg that gets the most rounds.....out to 20 yds it's great...
I think the concept of a 1911 in 9mm depends entirely on whether you hand load. I have a Dlask 1911 in 9mm and I absolutely love it.
It is a seriously heavy pistol. More heavy than a Jericho F/S in fact. Fortunately unlike the Jericho it is a well balanced unit. With factory AE loads it seems to run reliably ( I have only tested 1 box so far-No failures). The factory loads will not lock the slide back though after the last shot. They seem to barely have enough jam to make it run reliably.
With some hot reloads its another story though. The 9mm is considered to be a puny cartridge by most people. These people probably don't realize how mild factory 9mm is. The 9mm can surpass factory 45acp. The best part is it can do this at a fraction of the cost.
I've got an STI USPSA in 9mm. It it probably my favorite 1911. Low recoil, fast shooting, *very* accurate, and reliable. I only use Tripp Cobra mags, so I've never had a mechanical issue that wasn't related to ammunition.
I like to shoot this gun over the winter/indoor season. Lower cost than .40 S&W to shoot in volume.
Are those 9 or 10-round mags?I have the same one and I second word for word what he said, absolutely flawless fire arm. I use the same mags as well.
