Is it just me but...

The more & more I look into this Kel Tec line up the more & more I want 1 of everything that they got for sale!
And there pricing means I will be able to afford it too!
Can't Wait!
:runaway:

Its a fkn boring thread. RFB seems covered but I am asking about the sub2000.
To make it non-res will require some barrel work so my best guess would be this time next year @ the earliest.
Just Think Though...
Praire Dog or Squirel hunting with this!?!

It sounds like the non-restricted sub 2000s are on their way.

I'm going to track down three 10/33 round glock 17/18 mags and an Uzi mag pouch...

I appreciate that Kel tec is attempting to build a rifle for the canadian mkt.

Personally I think they should be trying to establish an affordable canadian carbine non restricted. There are no options for us in that market. They could do a lot of volume as there are is not much competition.

Once the price point moves up then they have all kinds of competion. Rebarrelled storms, xcr, vz thing, tavor, someone could probably rebarrel a high point for 700$ lots of options in Canada if you have the cash.

If they charge around 400-500 they are no non restricted cool options at that price and they can have the market. If the price is a thousand then there are more options for the consumer and more competition for the gun.

They have to make a profit. This gun cost more money in design, manufacture, and tons a bureaucratic red tape.

A car may cost 30,000,000 from design to retooling. GM did not charge 300,000 a piece for the first 100 K cars to recoup thier investment. They sold more units. Kel-tec, and vault have to decide at what price point they can maximize profitability.

I hope that they pick the right balance as if this venture is not profitable for the manufacturer they will be very less incline to bring more of thier products north of the border.

Just kinda worried that they teamed up with Wolverine so they might make them supper expensive just so they dont under cut there new 858 (556) line up. But these rifles retail in the states for $480 to $620 depending on what add-on's you get and what rifle it is.

Yep I was at Buffalo Gun Center last week and will be going again tonight! The Sub 2000 were on sale for $375. To be honest if the price point is any higher than $600 they are not worth it! At least not physically worth that kind of money! They are very cheap in every way. It feels like a childs toy, and I really dont't know what all the fuss is about in terms of the actual gun itself.

Now being that these are coming in as non restricted you will have people buy them just for that fact alone, and I can understand that I guess. So if you are willing to pay for the idea of a non restricted 9mm carbine than so be it, but just know that the physical product itself is not worth any more than $400 no matter what paper work, and manufacturing went into it!
