Can you describe your testing method for accuracy between the two powders? Did you use a Ransom rest?
Darrell over at the BE forum does a ton of testing and to date he believes that TG is one of the most, if not the most, accurate powders when used to load 9mm. Here's a very small sample of his data:
I did notice this. I used to run Xmetal with 3.8grns of 231, I bumped up to 4.2/3 grns with 124 campros and noticed less smoke.
$ 245 for 8 lbs of titegroup ---- more versatile than H-110
Depends on what you are loading. H-110 is good for magnum pistol and 30 Carbine.
$ 245 for 8 lbs of titegroup ---- more versatile than H-110
The OP was asking about 9mm only.
Since I didn't see anyone mention Clays then I will.
I burned thru about 15lbs of it and still like it under 124gn bullet. Softer shooting and cleaner burning than TG. Fills case more but meters a bit less well.
I find with my load for 124gr, my ES can be up to ~70fps with Clays, but with N320 or Titegroup, I can get consistently down to ~30fps. I can do even lower if I sort my brass and weigh my bullets.
And how does that affect your accuracy? Does better ES always equal better accuracy?
