Trail cam pics

A family of Cooper's hawks is nested in the bush behind the house. They are excellent hunters and flyers. There were 5 birds all sitting on the deck rail and roof of the house watching the pond. The adults seem to have chosen the yard to school the young on hunting. Divebombing frogs etc. One took a robin out of the air about 15' from my head. So much for the wood duck house we built. Had the trail cam on that but I think the ducks got harasses too much for comfort.

Ratchet rack, number one on the hit list this year. He's at least five years old. It's the fifth summer I have him on camera. He always sports that asymmetrical wide rack.

This camera is mounted as high as I could put it, and still manage to change the cards without a ladder. I have never had an animal notice it, or rather, I have never had a pic of an animal staring at it.

White phase hen

I don't often see the white phase. Only one other time and that was across a field while I was driving.
