Transfer times in BC

Dealers submit electronically right away. I placed an order with Siwash a few weeks ago. Bc CFO told me they’re still working on approvals for the first week of June.

Not always. Depending on how busy they are, some dealers may not submit transfers until days or sometimes weeks after the order was taken. Note: This may be Ontario dealers primarily. Likely BC dealers aren't as busy.

My June 16 transfer #5939### was just approved. Now one more to go, started July 22 #5974###. I suspect this one should be sometime in September.

If we are into the 597 range that means we’re approaching 100,000 transfers since this nonsense was announced. I hope someone can ATIP the actual numbers compared to previous averages and put together some sort of infographic to demonstrate what a great salesman Castreau is. The streets around Jane and Finch must be so much safer.

Yup, close to 100,000 transfers. Many of them are multiple gun transfers. Well over 100,000 hand guns have changed hands since this ****show started.

Exactly and have gun deaths gone up since it all started? **** NO! Because this isn't about public safety it's about control and nothing else.

I don’t know if I would want to confirm those stats right now with all the gang bangers shooting each other in Surrey and all over the lower mainland. But the big question is how many of the guns used in gang shootings were legally purchased and owned.

This statement is incorrect. Many of those 100,000 are from Ontario and they are not close to being approved yet. I believe Ontario hasn't even cracked 590###x yet

I had one received on june 6th and approved on the 20th. Two other received on june 20th and still waiting. So no rhyme or reason it appears

I had mine from July16th approved today, BC TO BC.. 597###X. Took alot of ####ery, but got through to someone at the CFO and they approved over the phone with me. took 4 minutes.

So if I get tired of waiting, I can call and complain and they will just let me jump the queue and approve my transfers?
That makes no sense…

I just resolved an early June Ontario Triangle mystery:

A dealer in Ontario say they are not receiving the Transfer Notice and are waiting for you to send it. Did you get an Email with that Notice?

Interestingly when I don't receive it, other dealers in Ontario are able to process things fine...

Ontario dealer did not get a notice of my latest transfer either. I emailed them my copy and now they hope to have it shipped by the end of the week. Everyone is so backlogged with the huge numbers of transfers. Just need to be patient and take some of our old guns to the range and give them some love.
