Transfer Times

5895### approved today, transfer submitted June 2nd. NS business to ON resident. I had 5889### approved on July 27. Transfer submitted June 1st from AB. The number of transfers processed weekly checks out to be around 1350 for ON, as someone has previously pointed out.

wow, took Tenda 2 weeks to submit transfer, yikes

Yes, I purchased from Tenda on June 1st and did not receive my Transfer # until the 15th. (5907###X)
I'm in no rush but would have expected it by now.
I also did a recent purchase from a BC resident to myself (#6005###) - I'm not expecting that one until the new year. f:P:2:

that seems to be a common theme across the different forums they batched them and then put them all through at once, I believe they have an explanation on one of their strings I remember seeing they had all hands on deck entering the transfers

the person to person ones are in a slightly different cue and have been going through much faster than others the only thing faster is person to person in alberta thats really fast

5907### puts you in the June 3rd estimate 5904### - 5909###. Might of got the transfer in before the 15th

Thanks. I'm seeing a lot of helpful information from a select few people on here and I can truly say that I appreciate it. From the sounds of it, Tenda just did not update my account on their website but likely the transfer was placed sooner than the 15th as you say.
Thanks again.

Good to know the person to person is much quicker. I have been reluctant to call the CFO to confirm my reference number. This was the first time I purchased from a person and I paid upfront. They provided a number the next day so I am keeping good faith that they are honest. I have not heard many scenarios where people have been screwed but you never know.

Estimated breakdown on Forum -> General Firearms Discussion -> Update Ontario Restricted Transfer Times. I think page #308 was the last. It's got a June 3rd reference # 5904###-5909### processed around Sept 24- Oct 13 give or take. I don't know how true it is, but my June 2nd 5901### aligns with the estimated June 2nd 5897###-5904### range on the chart. Time will tell, it helps cope while we wait lol.

I might be wrong but I would probably call and check as if you paid with e transfer time is not your friend, in fact if it is a scam it could already be too late and there's a lot going around if for instance you dealt on one of the used sites like townpost or #######. I know because I came a click away from getting stung myself last week I wrote about it in the forum if you search scam in here. they have ID's from other people and use them to make you feel safe. Im no expert though on used sales someone else is probably wiser then me in that area :) maybe your file on the RCMP site is useful in this situation?

BC is different the chart is an estimate and has a lot of educated guesses in it. I asked them yesterday about it. they all use the same numbers but it split between the provinces ontario being big they estimated how it will go for instance they are still in the 587###x june 6th ish as where BC has cleared that and is already in the 594### so about june 20th ish and as private is in a different cue they get processed faster than a dealer I think Im about 11k away as of today lol its my first handgun so the wait has been excruciating and I've been reading anything I can ya Im the guy who calls amazon on the 2nd day where's my stuff lol this times 1000

transfer times, hope this is helpful:

Great North Guns helped me with a handgun transfer ( best $45 I ever spent ).
June 25, 2022 got ref. # ( I am the seller in BC )
Aug 30, 2022 got approval ( buyer is in Sask )

Alberta to BC transfer

5945###

Initiated June 30th, got the paperwork today

Edit:
Private to Private

The CFO is working through the piles of paperwork slowly but surely. This one came through quicker than the last transfer

I'm hoping you know that with person to person you have to call in with the transfer number to finalize that part of the transfer so it can be sent to your Provincial CFO right?
Just double checking that you're not sitting there thinking that everything is going through like if you bought from a store.

And the guys on the EE for Gun Nutz have been good. They have feedback scores so you can check that things worked out before and how long they've been posting and stuff like that. And they need to send in a proof of PAL before being allowed to post or even access the Equipment Exchange. I've bought and sold dozens of guns and never had an issue for over ten years on this site.
