Trap Gun Dilemma

Perazzi isn't good enough to shoot geese? with:stirthepot2:

Too funny!! Laugh2

Arrive yet ? I thought I saw on another forum you were expecting it sat.

Yes it came in on Saturday but I was working and could not get in before the store closed. Yesterday my stepson flew in for a week and we are on a tour of the AB Rockies for the week so will pick it up next week.

Ok so I picked the gun up last saturday morning with my stepson in tow. Dropped the gun off at home and took the young fellow out with the 22 and 223 for a day of shooting at the range and putting him on his first gophers. Next day he was scheduled to fly home so sunday was spent taking him to Saskatoon to catch his flight then booking it home for some much needed sleep before returning to work monday morning. Fast forward one week, its sunday evening and my 7 on rotation ended at 5:30 so I have time to finally assemble the new trap gun and snap a few crappy iPhone pics for now. So at the risk of being called a snob again for spending copious amounts of hard earned and saved $$ for a decent quality trap gun I post for your viewing enjoyment a few pics of said acquisition.

Very nice! Congratulations!

The great thing about using a beautiful gun is while you might not hit all the targets you will always look good when you miss.;)

Nice ! ... and don't worry about the cost, you've finally got a quality Trap gun that you'l still be shooting 20 years from now.
(My DT-10 bought in 2000 is still going strong, and barely a blemish on it !)
Give it a little time to bond with you ... my first 25 straight didn't come until near the end of the first flat !
I know what you mean ( s****ing bricks ) about dropping it, but I've had other guns with $$ wood before. The wife however seemed absolutely
"p***ed" that the gun went straight to the gunsmith for adjustments to LOP, cast & pitch after only putting 20 rounds through it at the pattern board !
Had to explain it was like an off the rack suit that required some alterations for a better fit. All was good a week later, and in the last 16 years, it hasn't been
dropped or knocked over yet !

Best advice (and hard to follow !) ... forget about the damn gun and focus on the targets !!! Enjoy :)

Your welcome ! .... but now we want a report on how you've been shooting it ! ;)

I have yet to fire a round through it...:(
I have a few 4'x4' sheets of cardboard to pattern and set the poi with but no pattern board at our club and the fish & game club ranges are no shotguns allowed. I'll have to make a board with some 2"x2"'s and get at it. Once it's set up I will get out and try it. I'll bring you up to speed asap.
