Trophy Room......Finally Finished......Last Pics

All in good fun...:)

..and, of course, it's easier and faster to read all five of those posts than any one of yours! :)

I like how you built the room knowing it was for all those

OG.........I have now read this several times and although I understand that you are being complimentary.........I'm just not quite grasping what it is that you are saying ...........I'm getting old maybe my comprehension skills are starting to wane along with my ambition.

you need some french lessons Doug ......

I could not begin to imagine needing that sort of gratification in my life.

But hey good for you, looks great for what it is!

Wow...impressive combination of bitterness and condescension you have going there...

Do you do children's birthday parties?

Oh hell, you obviously haven't seen my firearms collection or car collection..........
I'm not sure gratification is exactly the correct word for it. I love to hunt and have expended a great deal of time, effort and money pursuing this interest. I apologize to no one for my hunting nor my success at it, nor do I feel a need to justify it to anyone. If you do not or cannot appreciate the display of my hunting trophies then may I suggest you just skip right on by this thread without feeling the need to comment. This forum is entitled "HUNTING" and so I deem it the appropriate venue in which to display my hunting trophies and room for others to view who can and do appreciate the effort, physical hardship, time and money involved to acquire a collection of trophies such as mine. Not one trophy was purchased or poached and every animal in the room was taken by myself in fair chase with either rifle or bow.
I have no idea who you are or what your interests are, but by all means carry on with whatever activity gratifies you, and I shall do the same with or without your approval. And I agree with you on one point, it does look great and thank you for saying so......
I notice you have just joined the ranks of CGN and I fully realize not all gun interested people are hunters and even less are trophy hunters such as my self, many are long range target shooters or 3 gun shooters or handgunners or "fill the freezer" hunters and I respect the people within these different firearms disciplines. As a CGNer I assume you fit somewhere into one of the disciplines under the broad umbrella of gunnut and I hope you enjoy your choice of gun related activities as much as I have over my life. I have been involved deeply in several firearms disciplines over my life including handgun and rifle, rimfire and center fire silhouette which I did quite well at and competed at several national level events. I shot national match level rimfire 50 mtr events 3 times and actually placed in the top 3 at my last match. I have done quite well at the territorial level at PPC combat shooting. Regardless of any of my accomplishments in the firearms field I do not disparage any other group of shooters who compete in, or go afield to participate in, any shooting sport regardless of whether I choose to participate or not.
May I suggest, given your comments on my trophy room, you may find your self more involved with people of your chosen discipline in another forum other than hunting.

I am a simple man, my gratification comes from viewing the awesome pictures of your trophy and gun collections. Thank you for taking the time to share them with the rest of us!

You know, I now openly and publicly sincerely apologize for that comment. Not even being sarcastic.

I understand the levels of commitment and dedication required when you are truly passionate about something and want results. Most of you might very well say I'm frigged up for doing some of the stuff I do. You're right I should not judge.

I like handguns and skeet. I just got my hunter's ed last year and I am looking forward to filling the freezer and little else TBH. I'm actually selling a handgun to help get a proper .308.

Am I against trophy hunting? Meh. I am honestly neutral about it. Why? For the last 15 years of my life, my occupation has often involved clearing out homes once the owners downsize, move into a home, or make the ultimate journey. On hundreds upon hundreds of occasions my teams and I have wiped out 60+ years worth of a lifetime's possessions, in an afternoon, at the family or executor's request.

When I see awesome collections of anything, I know first hand that it's not lasting forever. The sad truth is that it has frigged me up pretty bad but this is all I know how to do to earn a living. My own success at what I do is proving to be a huge downfall as far as what it is doing to me as a person.

That is honestly a beautiful collection and I sincerely hope it's quite a few generations away before a guy like me has to come for them. Guys like me are everywhere.
